Hi, I have a Novation Launchkey 49 which has a bunch of drum pads I've completely ignored up til now.
Does anyone know if it's possible to remote map the pads to trigger samples in an actual drum machine like Kong or Redrum or Umph or so on?
I've done a bit of an internet search and in this forum and not found anything.

Thanks!!!

Depending on the preset you choose in the Launchkey, the pads should already be programmed to output MIDI notes which should match Reason drums. My Novation Remote 25SL has eight pads, and they default map to the first 8 pads of a Kong. C1 - G1.

just to explain a little bit further, if I hit the pads they'll play, but they don't generate any notes when I record them.

By "play", do you mean they will trigger Kong sounds?

No just Redrum. The others aren't sent up to receive note data.

I recently got a launchkey and I'm in the same boat?

Figured it out. Hit Shift then Alt Drum mode. That resolved it.
