Reason 12.2.1 Release Notes
Fixed a bug that could cause several VSTs to crash or not work as intended
Various performance improvements and optimizations
Fixed a bug that could cause users with old/unsupported graphics drivers to run out of memory
Fixed a bug that could make Reason crash when dragging a MIDI file into the sequencer
Fixed a bug where the Reason process was still running in background after quitting Reason, sometimes making it impossible to start Reason
Fixed a bug where Reason Rack Plugin could cause Cubase to hang when quitting the program
Sequencer graphics partially updated to Hi-Res
Fixed a bug where the Combinator Rotary CV input affected ALL rotaries
Fixed an issue where Combinator control names were not shown properly in all places, tooltips, undo history, sequencer automation, etc
Remote maps utilizing the old insert effects section in the Mixer now forwards this to the first four controls and buttons on a Combinator in the Insert FX section if applicable
Fixed an issue where remotables "Rotary 1" to "Rotary 32" does not correctly map to the first 1-32 Controls according to the order in the panel element list. The same goes for remotables "Button 1-32"
The Reason Help web links now take you to the right place
Reason now correctly notifies you when trying to install Reason on unsupported Windows 10 versions lower than 10.0.14393

Almost all of the sequencer now. There's a few spots that didn't make release, but all other hi-res assets are to be released in the next maintenance update according to Mattias.

Does anyone know where to download files without banks? I don't understand why download 5 gigabytes again if sound banks don't change?
I haven't got 12 but previous versions you started them up and they offered you the chance to upgrade within the program. That was usually without soundbanks so much smaller.outdatedstandard wrote: ↑29 Sep 2021Does anyone know where to download files without banks? Previously, I downloaded files like Reason_1134_d28-Stable_214_454_without_soundbanks.zip from the site, since I prefer to install in the usual way, but now I cannot find such files.

Drum Sequencer still has some graphical issues. Minor but still there.
The hi-res is finally starting to shine now (bug as mentioned by others earlier in thread excepted).
Application zoom level changes are quick, I could probably live with it now if they gave us a hotkey or ctrl-mousewheely thing to change zoom level. I'd still prefer a separate zoom level for the rack window though.
VST screenshots as shown in the VST container are not hi-res yet, this should be adressed as it looks ugly.
Many text elements in the rack are still too pixelated and look out of place IMO.
Examples: Preset names in the VST container and many native/RE devices (f.ex. Subtractor, Antidote).
Newer devices such as the players and Combi2 have good looking dynamic text displays though.
My famous browser problems seem less nightmarish now, I haven't tested enough yet but first impressions are that response times have improved while still not quite at R11 level performance.
Overall, I think this is a promising update and it's enough to tip me down from the fence about upgrading before the price hike.

Wow.
I just loaded this shit up and sent a bug (multibple bug) report off before I even made any noise.
Black screens all over the place. Non responsive, lags, a crash...This shit is appalling and I told em as much in the bug report.
What a drag.

Out of interest, is your PC totally up to date in terms of Windows updates, and driver updates for all your PC devices (graphic cards, Storage & System Devices, firmware etc.) in 'Device Manager' you have right clicked selected update driver and installed them all if the are available?
Also is the Bios up to date on your PC? Thats assuming you are actually on PC.
