Allihoopa had come a long way and had some really great features before it was retired.
I wonder if some of that tech could be reused for Companion?
I enjoy sound packs here and there, but I'd be much more inclined to open Companion if it meant I could interact with other Reason users in different ways.
Also, having comments per pack might also bring more attention to the packs? There's so many of them, and the descriptions are ok, but sometimes hearing what other users have to say might draw your attention a little more.
File sharing would still be great to have. Even basic audio sharing like Allihoopa would be fun.
I miss Allihoopa! Please add comments, live chat, and file sharing to Companion :)
When companion got announced / leaked I was hoping for something like session from mixed in key or a host that would allow vst midi to work.joeyluck wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021Allihoopa had come a long way and had some really great features before it was retired.

However I actually did like the way companion worked with RE's.
It was disappointing that the Packs folder disappeared when not using subscription and I think if the location exists then Reason could / should display it.
As for Allihoopa coming back wasn't RS looking at getting something up and running with a publisher?

I agree with all of this, and was disappointed they spun Allihoopa off into its own company and then shut down. I always thought it was awesome to be able to interact with other Reason users like that (or Figure users, etc), and if they had added stems as an option, it could have turned into something really cool. So +1000 to everything you said above!joeyluck wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021Allihoopa had come a long way and had some really great features before it was retired.

Right now it would be great because of Covid and all. I met some cool people and had some of my best music created due to seeing it from another’s point of view. It came at a time of transition so it seemed to be a project more than an application. Just to interact with other reason people was the pluS for me.
To think that we had to lose it makes me sad.

We make music for a reason
Agree, even just basic audio sharing for tracks and loops would be super handy. Seems like an easy way for RS to add further value to the subscription.

Is there built-in filepass support in Reason and Figure, Reason Compact, etc?
