Do We Need To Make Music Anymore?
I can’t speak for anyone else, but to me, it doesn’t matter how other music is made—I will always need to make music.
This video clearly shows the difference between music and muzak.
The challenge is to recognize the difference. That's not easy these days.

At some point, AI will get smart enough to develop the next generation of AI.
And that generation will develop the next generation.
And so on.
Once that starts, all bets are off.
The music they make for us will blow our minds.
The music they make for each other will be vastly better… but we won't even recognize it as music.
Don't worry. I'm sure they will take good care of their pets.

what he does in that video seams to be what you can do with players in reason press random a few times then add some stuff, it's not the way I want or like to make music
Quite right.
The experience of making music is the ride.
The bounce at the end is the post card from the edge of reality...

ha, excellent way to put it.
No master clock needed. Across subtle musical cultures in the world. Something machine learning can't do.
Yes we can, and we are, and we will.

One thing I would do with an AI producer app is tell it to make more of X type music for me.
Like10 more albums from Led Zep or another 1000 early Aphex tracks or whatever. I'd make music with it that I don't make and have no interest in making but want to hear.
20 more versions of Für Alina.
Whatever.
Hey AI, make a few more debut albums form the Yeah Yeah Yeahs!
And there's nothing to stop you from saying, hey, make an amalgamation of X and Y.
Join those two Ragas together please.
Like loading 10 tracks into something like Torsion and hit randomise.
It's the future I think. Part of it.
Maybe it's the future of Reason and Players!!!
If I make it, my old age is gonna be amazing...

Yep ... "Hey AI, reimagine Michael Jackson's Invincible but sung by Billy Ray Cyrus, produced by Dr Dre and featuring Elvis on every outro ..."plaamook wrote: ↑17 Sep 2021One thing I would do with an AI producer app is tell it to make more of X type music for me.
