When will you upgrade to Reason 12?
New combinator and new sampler sound interesting, but like always, I'll wait till it's been out long enough for any missed bugs to be squashed. Also, when I'm good and ready. Have way to many current projects using 11 to risk something getting jumbled up. I generally do the same with the point updates as well anyway.
As a r10 user, I'm struggling to see any value in both the R11 & R12 additions that I would be buying into, apart from the Combinator. Although the secondary appeal is that if I did upgrade, it would be an exit-tax, and I'll happily never, ever buy a Reason Studios product again. I'm done with their half-assed way of operating a business. Which is why I'm loathe to even pay them the $129 exit tax.

I noticed that this is the 8th time that you have mentioned "exit tax" since Jan 30, 2020.

I calculate that to be 581 days in which you have been looking to (A) Pay your taxes and/or (B) Exit. Can I help you with either?

And since Im unemployed due to covid19, you're most welcome to gift me the exit-tax fee, and I can be on my way.

Option (Z) - When my collaborators also update to Reason 12.
Unless it's possible to run both Reason 11 and Reason 12 together, where a Reaper Track can load&save either Reason 11 RRP or Reason 12 RRP. Anyone here tested that scenario?

After I got BitWig and only use the RRP I can easily wait for
Reason 12.x.x to most issues have been solved.

I'm inclined to sit tight until there are some big sequencer improvements. Not only because that's the sort of feature list I'm after but also because I wanna see some comitment to the rest of the DAW before I spend any more money on Reason.
There must be soem feature that could make me change my mind but I'm not sure what that could be at this point if it isn't the Combi2.
Sure as hell isn't the 'hires'...

I wanted to approve this
I think MARYPATRICIA was not looking to upgrade Reason. She preferred the old school Reason (the "right reason" as she calls it) the reason from the sixteenth century, ya know—before RE and VST support and all that jazz.

I will upgrade when I can use my "rewards" points for upgrade. That is, probably never.

I thought I would be jumping straight on board but now it's out and I've seen what's there I think I will probably sit this one out wait till all the bugs are shaken out and see if they do an upgrade deal before 13 comes out or add some killer stuff in a point update. I felt a bit burned by the 11 to 12 bonus deal last time.
Maybe we could set up a "go fund me" for him?Forum Helper wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021Hello Proboscis,Proboscis wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021As a r10 user, I'm struggling to see any value in both the R11 & R12 additions that I would be buying into, apart from the Combinator. I have revised my stance to this as well.
After some modest initial excitement I'm back on R11 now and intend to stay there until improvements are made.
I was really excited about R12 so I paid for it on launch. I’m on a pretty new laptop with good graphics card and at first I noticed it was not as smooth running as r11 and all my unfinished projects with vsts are opening up all weird within unnecessary combinators. But seems to be working ok now. And not freezing. So I’m happy with the upgrade.
