The nnxt has always been able to do this too if I remember correctly.
Mimic: New Creative Sampler
You assumed correctly. Why should I?jaeproduced wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021So i'm assuming you've never used Serato Sample huh? You can match the tempo of the sample to what ever tempo you choose doesn't matter if it's a loop or slices.
I purchase items for what they are. I don't intend to spend countless bitter hours on online forums asking companies to build something which I saw somewhere else and which I desperately want something to be. Like I said life is too short.

I can assure you if I'll need something Serato is offering I won't have problem purchasing it. Until then I'll just be normal person enjoying life.

2 things sad to find out just.
1) You can't drag audio from Reasons sequencer into it.
2) You can't automate the Pitch Bend Range.
Currently only the NN-19 allows pitch bend range automation. I have mentioned it before as someone told me, it's essential to be able to automate the pitch bend range to create a certain sound used in Drum 'n' Bass music. He said he had to always use the NN-19 to achieve it but he preferred the NN-XT overall and again, not do-able in Mimic, why, can this please be added?

This looks nice! It feels very Reason-like in its flexibility and approachability.
Pitch detection would be a nice addition later, as would the ability to make adjustments across all sample slots, either with a “copy settings” button or an “edit all” mode to edit single parameters like release time.

That would be a nice feature to have not just in the sampler but also the sequencer. For example when you drag a loop from the browser into the sequencer, Reason doesn't automatically detect the tempo of loops without embedded metadata and adjust them to match the tempo or key of the current project.jaeproduced wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021So question will Mimic Creative Sampler tempo detect, tempo match, key detect & key shift which is the only reason I'm using Serato Sample and I was hoping this new Mimic Sampler would bring me back to Reason?
Can mimic to load nnxt and nn19 patches?
No, but the NN-XT and NN19 are good folders to browse for samples
I think the only bummer for me is that it only does 8 samples. I tend to do live pad playing:
For a single song Mimic or a couple Mimics in a Combinator will work, but doing a whole set I would have to use multiple Combinators (ala Selig). Things get tough to control when doing this. I like to be able to have melodic samples in choke or mute groups so that I don't have to worry about looping them with a long release and can have the next sample in my set cut off the last sample. Anyway, Ryan mentioned that you can load lots of samples up and down the keyboard in the last mode (multi pitch) which could very well be what I am looking for. Hope so.
Otherwise great work Reason Studios!

For MacOs it seems to be the Option/Alt key. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like setting the "Loop Forward + Loop Backward" function works for Mimic.EnochLight wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021No, unfortunately.
All samplers editors can be accessed by CNTRL+clicking the sample button.

Hopefully with the new combinator?miscend wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021This!Jackjackdaw wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021I only care about one thing. Can you modulate the start and end points?
My immediate thought upon seeing Mimic for the first time was "they straight up copied Logic's Quick Sampler" - except that Quick Sampler (which is the lite version of Sampler) has 2 LFOs and a mod matrix.
You can modulate the start position, as well as lock/quantize it to transientsmiscend wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021This!Jackjackdaw wrote: ↑10 Aug 2021I only care about one thing. Can you modulate the start and end points?

Zing!
The "Watery Tele" patch is blowing up my computer and it's due to the "Advanced" stretch method because when you set it to anything but that, it's fine. So is this a bug or is the "advanced" mode going to be a major CPU hog?
