Hi guys. I've joined the Reason 12 Beta program, and just noticed I have a "Reason 12 Beta" license in my account, but no download link.

Is this normal for the Beta programs? Do they pass out license keys before download links? Or am I just missing something?

Thanks.

When you're admitted, you get an email. From that email you get a link to access the beta website, where all links to download exist along with lots of documentation and information, plus a forum where you can talk about the beta things.

Read it carefully and you'll be granted access to the world of beta.

No email, no beta program for you.

For unknown reason a lot of ppl have a beta license, but did not granted access. Maybe they are just in a queue...

I have the r12 beta. I would like to discuss.

But, I can't find the beta forum. Does anyone have a link?

It's got features not found in previous versions of Reason! It's got new things to test! There's a fix list, a known issues list, and a bug report form. And everybody testing gets to talk about it all in the private forum!

I got the license and have been a prior beta tester so I figured I'd just login to the beta portal and see.. I was able to download from there.

Vagueness aside, the betas (normally!) come with logging code to help the developers, which slows the software down. This means nobody gets a feel for how it feels performance-wise until it's released, or very nearly.

it looks nicer (I know I’m not giving anything away there), but otherwise, so far, a big meh. but it’s important to take that with a huge grain of salt. it’s *really* early stages right now.

that should be sufficiently vague.
