It's A Good Synth Day - Pigments 3 / Model 84
Pigments 3 is free for P2 owners. A strong synth becomes even stronger: https://www.arturia.com/products/analog ... igments#en
And
Do we need another Juno emulation??? No - but this one might be the best one yet.
Softube releases Model 84 - a seriously good looking and sounding emu of the Juno 106: https://www.softube.com/model-84-polyphonic-synthesizer
The P3 update was painless. Been trying to buy Model 84 all morning but my freaking bank and the Softube website thinks I'm committing fraud.

Pigment 3 intruduction price $69 if you own any Arturia product. A great deal !!!
I tried version 2 at a friend's and it seemed incredible, you can easily reach the desired sounds ... I will evaluate this expense. mmmmm .... I don't know if I'll need another synthesizer, dilemma (thinking of you aloud)

Reason 11 Suite, perpetual license
Right now, Arturia Software Center can't seem to get a connection going. I'm guessing their servers are getting hammered. Pigments 3 looks good though.

Yeah, I was thinking about it but on PB you don't get the additional $20 off on Model 84, using code: POLYPHONICICON on Softube's site.arqui wrote: ↑20 Apr 2021try in PluginBoutique

Finally managed to buy it. Loving this keyboard-less look:
The cpu usage is even more incredible
I do like the synth though just keep in mind it's even more cpu hungry than other modern do-it-all synths like avenger

I'm really curious if its better than the dco 106 by cherry audio
I don't think this is a better vs worse thing. Both UNO-LX and M84 are great, however, I thought Softube did an amazing job with Model 72 - MAYBE even better than what U-he does. I hate to say this, but M84 sounds more "80s analog" to me. I mean like, that's really it lol. I have no idea if it sounds like a 106, but I like how it sounds and how it plays. This vid kind of sold me on it in a "that's the sound I'm looking for!" kind of way:
pigments 3 seems pretty sick for the discounted price... 1700 patches... 4 cents a patch and infinite modulation options that will fit nicely with my Arturia 49 key lab essential... hmmmm hmmmm hmmmm... a million synths now >>> BUT ???? attractive deal... who has this????? 50 USD >61.69 CAD till mid may.... damn gas>but the videos are compelling ! doubt it will ever be cheaper. Help

Try creating a hard junction. I did this many times with eg reason sound bank, call of duty game files, etc.
See tutorial below:

was this the free starter version, or did you try pigments 3, how much space was sucked up... and what do you mean by rudely?? I shouldn't need sim links with 1 .33 TB open surely??? I rarely trial synths, perhaps this one I need to... Still... love what it can do in videos and with my controllerdezma wrote: ↑21 Apr 2021Try creating a hard junction. If it can do the pad sound at the beginning of this realistically, I'm in.

As far as I can remember it was the trial version of Pigments 2. It used up well over a GB on my SSD which at the time had only about 25-30 GB free. I didn't try symbolic links although I do use them for the main Reason content. It's just not as elegant as allowing us to move the big files/folders. It's pretty common to have a small SSD for OS and apps and then a much larger SSD or HD for there rest of the stuff.moneykube wrote: ↑21 Apr 2021was this the free starter version, or did you try pigments 3, how much space was sucked up... and what do you mean by rudely?? UJAM have this aspect of it absolutely nailed. Their content is in a single large BLOB file which you can move to anywhere just with file explorer. When you start the plugin it prompts you to browse to the new location and then gets on with the job. Perfect! I like well-behaved software.
Pigments 3 is awesome. Just awesome.
Heavier on the CPU, it seems, and I wish there was a way to globally disable the FX like in U-he's synths.

There is something wrong with the sound as in many of my patches from 2.0 a loud cracks/thumps appear...I hope they fix this...
It's pity they've got rid of those nice big white 3D buttons for Position, Cutoff etc...And they inverted the colors which are hard to read, for example filter menu is indistinguishable from background...and they inverted power button position for module slots to the opposite direction. Hmm I don't know why these constant and never ending changes to the UI happen. It's 3rd time they changed the UI design of this synth...does it mean that previous design failed for them ? Why is it not possible to make just one final UI which is worth for long time ? I don't like adaptations because of constant UI changes especially if the changes are counterproductive.

What is it that appeals to you in the update? The features or the sound?
I haven't updated my version yet; I've used it in songs but never really Gel'd with it. I'm looking forward to trying it out with the new Jupiter filter though!

Both!
But more specifically, it's an all-around good Synthwave synth cuz it can do so many 'synthwavey' things well, and what makes it an even better Synthwave synth now is that it has the Jupiter filter, the Juno Chorus, and their version of the OTT! It also does the JP Supersaw really well, which is a nice bonus.
Yeah, I like how it sounds and I like the presets. I purchased the Spectrum sound pack and seeing the possibilities is inspiring. You can make such a polished and self-contained collection of sounds with this thing. And the fact that they're continually updating Pigments makes me feel good about investing time in it.
can't seem to find this info... does it come in vst2 so reason can utilize it?
the first image is VST 2, the second VST 3 I imagine?
