Asking from a place of ignorance, not criticism, but what does sequences do that say, the sequencer, does not? Is it just a workflow thing? Trying to talk myself out of my GAS before the sale ends :D

Finally stole Sequences - at least it felt like theft. What an awesome piece of kit!

I'd been looking forward to another opportunity to acquire this amazingly flexible tool - especially after version 1.4! Just --- Wow!

Thanks for such an adventurous rack extension!

Love the Robotic Bean AB UI.
I hoped Sequences had a Random? function or i would of trialed it. (RS Drum Sequencer has a random)

Is it possible to use the timeslider for decreasing input lag live or can it only be used on already sampled/recorded audio?

Quick question. Is TM-1 https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... ltiplexer/

pretty much the same thing as Retouch Control Tonerows?
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... /tonerows/

That is to say, do they do the same thing or is there a discernible difference in functionality?

Timeslider was created by RB and not Dr. Emmett Brown, so no Back to the Future is allowed.

The resolve your issue you have to play ahead of the music to adjust for your input lag, using a real low buffer size will also help.

Looks like they are doing basically the same job.

Advantage to the Tonerows is you can have different rows setup.

Advantage to the TM-1, as we are at the CV level it's quicker to split signals and drive other parameters with the results (e.g. the output could be used to set the Freq Cutoff on a filter, you are not just tied to notes etc).

I grabbed Sequences and Euclidean Player. I've got most of the others already from this excellent developer ;-)

I already had most of RB's stuff - Sequences and Step Note 2 are mainstays of every rack I get going.

However I finally gave in and bought Resonans.... Awesome synth, clearly going to be years of tweakery with this one.

I’ve got nearly all of RB stuff, just some CV REs I don’t have due to me not understanding that side of things. Resonans is the one I’ve being going back and forth on since forever...and I still can’t decide.

Finally purchased Euclidian Rythms (been tempted for a while). I guess I'll pass concerning Step Note Recorder, as I already own Sequences

It comes down to what you want out of a synth. Model synth's in my book are specialised and are worth a deep look at as they are not the normal type of synth and they give\create interesting textures of sound, they can be quite realistic.

This has been created using 24 Resonans as the main sound source, the pulse is a Piano sound, however there is no midi data in the main Sequencer, it's all controlled via CV (Control Voltage) by Reason.
Each play is a totally different rendition of In C. It follows the rules that no instrument will moved forward more than 3 phrases and they all drop out once they have all reached Phrase 53.

I think the Clappers are a bit underrated, especially the Acoustic Clapper where you can adjust the amount of clappers and sloppiness. The fact that it uses round robins and the sloppiness is a bit random makes it really useful and brings some liveliness compared to normal clap samples.

Was about to purchase a couple of devices, added the Clappers because I read 'underrated' :) !

Hey Robotic Bean, have you any plans for the last unused slot on the lane settings of Sequences? If not can I suggest note delay/offset!

Just noticed something that needs changing in Sequences.

When you press the play button, the button graphic should change to a stop button and when pressed again, stops play and the graphic should change to a play button again or is this not do-able in the SDK? should also be the same if played through the daw and not pressed also.

Also, the note sounding when you click on it would be super handy.

Also, one lefty mouse click adds a note, one right click deletes.

needs changing? is it really that difficult to tell whether it’s playing or not? your speakers are on, right?

Totally missed the point.

It was in an aesthetic way. You press the play button again to stop it. You usually stop play with a stop icon / button so either change the button in both instances or add a stop button for this purpose but I suppose it was designed without a stop button for space purposes so my idea is the best solution.

Question is twofold: is there a sale currently? And, why did creativemind revive this sale thread to make a suggestion about sequences? 🤔
