Any VSTs that replicate what Peffs Buffre Beat Repeater does?

Any ideas on a good buffered loop/beat repeater VST that do something similar to Buffre?

Just as a reference...

I really like Buffre but $85 seems pretty steep lol I have the Quadelectra RE which is dope but getting something like Buffre would do a few things the Quadelectra doesn't... But if there's a similar VST that you'd recommend I'm all ears

If you hold off for a while you will probably see it on sale for £50, and I would say it's well worth the wait...

I have v1 but v2 is slightly better and both versions are much more interesting and fun than just about everything else like it...

V2 is incompatible with V1. I bought a big bundle with lots of presets, which i cannot use with V2. And making your own presets is very time consuming. And i am sure, you can grab V2 for 10-30 bucks soon.

That's the main reason I didn't upgrade to v2, I've got all the v1 expansions and the upgrade made absolutely no sense, but I don't believe that you can buy v1 anymore.

Either way there is nothing else that comes close.

This thread reminded me that I actually own Buffre! I got it in a rig bundle years ago and have never used it. It also made me wonder where Peff vanished to and that a CrapRE 2 was released at some point....anyway, carry on

I was thinking I'll probably wait. I know Izotope has sales fairly frequently.. and it's so much more that Illformed so may as well wait for a sale

I spent ages looking at very many options and I just couldn't find one that I found acceptable.

Eventually I decided stutteredit v1 at the time was just an easier option, it was more expensive than others but the extra was more than worth it. Just give it time maybe demo a few while your waiting stutteredit will go on sale at some point and I bet after you demo a few you will agree that stutteredit is worth the extra and the wait.

I got StutterEdit free but I can't for the life of me remember how.
I highly recommend it. You hear its effect used on all sorts of commercial recordings.

I also have Buffre but I've never really got along with it so it sits in the large pile of unused REs in my system.

Sonic Charge Permut8 also comes with a "firmware" (beatrick) that does this sort of thing. I use it quite often actually.

Cableguy Shaperbox 2 is pretty cool. And it has thousands of user-made presets in the cloud in addition to the stock ones which you can download straight into your your local library from within the plugin. It's multiband and you can even dial in the dry/wet amount easily, unlike Stutteredit 2 which somehow made it way more complicated than V1.

I think the first version was free but the second you had to pay for.

Yeah I agree, a little expensive. I have seen them cheaper when they have sales.
