Hello,

My m-audio xiom 49 keyboard works just fine when I'm just mashing on the keyboard in real time, but when I try to record it and listen back, the notes are all out of whack - some are cut out and seemingly out of time. At first I thought it was because I had "snap" turned on and it was trying to adjust the notes to the nearest grid. I turned that off and played around with different timings like 1/16, 1/32...etc but no luck. It's like the notes are still trying to snap to a grid or something. What am I doing wrong and does anyone know how I can get my recordings to capture my real-time playing without messing up?

I've attached an audio example of what's going on: the first 21 seconds are my live playing coming through the speakers and then after that is the completely screwed up recording playback.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Auto Quantize selected (on the transport panel) perhaps?

Or maybe you have a groove on that track?

Yep looks like “Q record” was turned on. I didn’t even see that, thanks so much!
