Free with Reason 13.

Place your bets ladies and gentlemen.
I'll take that wager. I'll bet that while sales are almost certainly likely at some point, it won't be included free with Reason 12, 13, or whatever - it'll remain a Reason+ exclusive if you don't buy it outright. Would be happy to be proven wrong, though!

The little crosses on the top left of each 'module' give the impression that you can mix, match and reorder them. That sounds like a cool idea. Defo interested in this!
Indeed! Kind of like a new FM-Thor. Exciting!

I hope you're right. If Reason was never to get any new synths/fx, then they'd have to focus on actual DAW features for people to upgrade it.

Hope that's the direction, honestly.

Not to mention it would make the decision easier to buy a RE or not.

Honestly, I'm sort of the same camp. I have so many plugins (both RE and VST) that getting stuff for free in a major version upgrade has very little value to me. I personally would rather see 100% focus on functionality, features, and utilities over new instruments or effects. But I do want a new Combinator. An update is long overdue, and since it's really the face of Reason+ Sound Packs, and really the face of all complex routing in a package in Reason, it totally needs a facelift IMHO.

Yeah, if anything R+ has made me feel that I can now invest in RS REs as I think it's far less likely they'll be added to perpetual license Reason within a timeframe that might make me wish I had waited. Maybe Friktion and Algoritm will appear in standard Reason, but in like 2028.

I hope panorama per operator as well will be, not see it at picture :problem:

Looks nice. I love FM synthesis. My first love was Ableton Operator where I did everything with that synth. Then tried NI FM8 (very CPU friendly) but moved to Reason and got FM4 and PX7. I was also trying to use Dexed but now I can't, as with new update they moved to VST3. I will definitely try Algoritm.

Yes a tough game for sure, how can you reprimand someone for being passive aggressive without being called out for being over the top, yet passive aggressiveness is where a lot of the crap starts. Someone shares a valid opinion in a valid place and someone else jumps on them with a 'how dare you ' attitude for example, that sort of crap just degenerates the overall vibe. Still, if Props had kept us a lot happier over the years there would be less need for disappointment and complaining.

I think it is a matter of time, the longer it takes for R12 to arrive the more likely Algoritm will be included and this in turn obviously means a smaller upgrade - a couple of devices and one feature upgrade is kind of what we are used to. Alas it is a new CEO and new times it will be interesting to see what happens here.

It clearly says "FM".
Interesting is the filter right in the center and those "x" in the left top corner of each "module".
That "freq mode" looks interesting.
It has 3 things in the columns and probably considering the max size it can also have 3 rows which makes it a 9 Operator FM synth with exchangable modules.
And that circle with the "7" in the right area shows some kind of routing...
It has a damn RANDOMIZER

Yes, the program needs work first and foremost rather than new toys.
If this is the flagship synth they were talking about that was going to make people jump to Reason+ I can't see it tempting many over.
Maybe it is amazing? Maybe it's meh? But at the end of the day it is just another sound source in an ocean of choice while it's environment languishes years behind the competition in certain areas :(

I think it's 6 or less if you decide that filter(s) is a part of the algorithm, that you can see on the right (with that 7 having feedback connection).

Hopefully the bottom section is for the envelopes and FX section we know from Grain/Europa and maybe some sequencer like in Complex-1, although I don't see any modulation slots on the OPs or Filter, so maybe not?

Also, they lied again. It was supposed to come out in March ;) :P

We will see. The randomization on Nostromo is hard to beat with its categorizations.

You was never going to trick me with that one

But either way I can appreciate that you have a job to do that is mostly a different kind than maybe you first envisioned when starting this exceptional community  keep up the good work and just remember when someone's favourite hobby gets held to ransom emotions are going to run high.

As you can use the tag line if you want! I used to have it at my desk at work and the department manager would make me print a new copy each week, he never asked me why I had it but he would always sneak in and put it in the bin until I told him he was wasting a lot of time and paper!
