Posted this over at KVR, hope it's ok here as well for those interested in VST synths:

Happy new year everybody :puf_bigsmile:

With 2020 finally behind us, I'm curious about your favourite synth releases of the year.
To this end I have created a poll (with secret results for now).

The poll contains 25 preselected options for you to choose from which appear in randomized order. Multiple selections are allowed, and you can add your own entry with the "other"-option if you don't see your forgotten gem in there.
If you do add something keep in mind it should be a synth (not just a sample player or drum machine), and should run on multiple DAWs without depending on other specific products (i.e. no Reason Rack Extensions, UAD plugins, etc) to avoid disqualification.

Poll here: https://linkto.run/p/KD759X7T

Votes need to be in by Saturday January 9th 09:00 CET, which means before the end of Friday in the US.
Looking forward to seeing your votes

PS There might be a separate poll for free plugins if there's any interest, they are not included here.

Hum...somehow not really suprising about the winner. It has a price that everyone can pay and features, where other synths still need to get.
Reason12, Win10

I didn't realize that Vital was under "Vital Audio" and not just under his name, Matt Tytel (like it is for Helm and his Little LFO RE). Any reason to separate them?

I wondered this as well. Perhaps some sort of collaboration? Or other business reasons.
He's certainly come a long way from LittleLFO.

The Vital VST is also listed under Matt Tytel in the browser... Yeah maybe other business reasons and perhaps it's just for the site and name recognition/correlation. Like Reason Studios is to Reason :D

How good is Vital, I can't say that I was that interested when I saw it. Can't remember where I read it but some said it's a serum killer????

I haven't even tried it and a can't say that I'm in hurry to, don't get me wrong it looks good and all that but I just haven't been in any hurry to try it or find out much about it only now I'm curious as it's received "The People's Vote".
