Never found it hard to find stuff for Reason. I used to just put Propellerhead before it and I suppose now you just put Studio's after it. Logic you just add Pro I suppose. The thing is, it doesn't seem that there are many new up to date tutorials and stuff on Reason as there was say 6-7 yrs ago. Only the old ones such as 52 Reason / Record Tips, Reason Experts and the Micro Tutorials.SynthGang wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020Maybe the situation really is more dire than I thought - how many new adopters could there really be with results like these:

This makes me wonder how beneficial it might be to consider a complete re-branding away from 'Reason'?
I know suggesting this is one of the most blasphemous things a Reason user could say (and I have always quite liked the name), but I also know just how frustrating it is to find Reason-related content on YouTube or the internet at large due to the simple fact that 'Reason' is just too ambiguous a word. In order to find relevant results I've always found it necessary to type Reason Studios in quotation marks to ensure only results containing that exact string of words are returned.
Cakewalk, FL Studio, Presonus, Ableton, Pro Tools - these are all immediately identifiable. While Logic might be in the same branding boat as Reason, it has the obvious advantage of being owned by Apple! Realistically it's probably neither wise nor worth the effort/cost to re-brand, but RS could probably do a better job of marketing themselves. Unless they find a new way forward then all roads lead to a complete overhaul.
Help us make Reason better, take a short survey!

My apologies for the delay in reply! It's from a tool I never knew existed until recently: Google Trends. It's actually kind of fun to toy around with. Here's the link:

Here's another illuminating trend: https://trends.google.com/trends/explor ... %20studios
I think this pretty much says it all.

Maybe people start to learn to type websites and save bookmarks? LolRackman wrote: ↑27 Oct 2020Here's another illuminating trend: https://trends.google.com/trends/explor ... %20studios

"Music" has lost popularity as well with searches:

Ppl search what they don't have or need information for. So maybe instead of interpreting this as popularity it shows something that is missing.joeyluck wrote: ↑27 Oct 2020Maybe people start to learn to type websites and save bookmarks? Do you think Reason Studio's are waiting for the 20th Anniversary to release their next update. Should be 22nd November 2020 shouldn't it?

I think Reason is cooking up something big. The last big update was 9.5. Adding VST was huge. It is about time for them to release something big other than new devices. I hope they go more in the direction of Cubase but seems more likely they add features akin to Bitwig or Ableton. Then again could a Reason update be so big that it pushes them to another level....Random Sunday thoughts while I wait for one of my Reason projects to load.

Whatever it is I'm all in!!
The one feature (Which is a deal breaker for me) that reason HAS over all those other daws is the look and feel of using REAL hardware and being in a real studio.
OK, maybe I am showing my age here but think about this, how much would each of those devices/racks cost in real life?
Let me start, Mixer/5k?, Piano/1K? Drum set/500? Drum Machine? 500? Synth/500? and so on you get my drift.
Now multiply that by infinity as you have an endles supply of them right! What's the total, wait for it, Priceless!!
Yes we may be missing a few things others offer but for me, everytime I fire up Reason, I feel like a million bucks! Like I just hit lotto!
We also have combinators which are so much fun to experiment with, try making a Rebirth Machine using a combinator.
I had so much fun wiring one up using two rotary knobs to change my drum patterns and the other two to change the patterns on the 303's I used, the buttons muted each device.
Really folks, even if you can do the same in other daws, the look and feel are not there for me and I tried many of them.
I wanna live loop like Abelton, simple, I hook up my DJ-202 to the Executioner rack midi map the controls and bam, dj-ing like a pro.
So much fun! Oh, Can anyone tell me when the next sale will be? Missed buying Sequences on the last round...lol

i think this would be a great addon to reason: when drag/dropping... that the mouse wheel would scroll up/down the reason rack space.
this option is already implemented into reason but only when connecting cables (back side of racks). but when in front view of REs this function with mouse wheel is not enabled. please, reason studios, do implement this into workflow of reason.
ps: i have propellerhead reason 10 and i actually do not know how is this with reason studios reason 11. if it is already implemented then please ignore this psot and accept apologies for writing this post without need.
cheers.
