Darker Mode?

Have any feature requests? No promise they'll get to Reason Studios, but you can still discuss them here.

Hello,

Is there any chance Reason will ever get a dark mode with everything darker than the current dark mode is... and including the mixer?
the current one when working in low light situations is like having a flashlight on your face.

Are there any known plans for changes like this, do more people would like a darker mode?

I want something like this:

Since they are working on graphics, now would be the time to request it I would think!

It would be cool to see a dark mixer and dark elements in the rack (master section, mix/audio channels, default combinator backdrop, etc.)

PS... I moved this to the Feature Requests sub-forum.

I think that reaper screenshot is way to dark.

I guess it would be handy if we could set a default colour scheme, but I personally am fine with the current setup.

Thank you so much, I think this is a better place :)

I hope they can fit some changes now that they are dealing with the graphs,
the least they can make is change the mixer from white to a dark color, in a theme...

Changing User Interface colors is an easy to accomplish task compared to processing audio and such,
and it brings a lot of happiness to the users :)

There is the old school way of adjusting the brightness level of our monitor directly, while we wait. Pure white wasn't a big problem in the past as the dynamic range wasn't that high. Great for watching movies, but not for looking at our screen for hours and hours. Lowering it until I felt fine was my solution.

This is the ultimate "Reasontalk" comment!

Maybe Reason Studios will include "you can lower the brightness on your monitor" as a feature in Reason 12.

Bonus points if it's a green screen CRT monitor.

"...while we wait." <- a workaround for anything we do on our pc, not just working in Reason.
Bonus point if you believed it was a good advice for prolonging another human's eyesight, just a bit  :puf_wink:
