Has someone tried it within Reason 10 ? Does it work ok there ?
10.4 here. Works like a charm... It is a bit "light" on the presets, but then the price is light too. The synth, so far, is very good, has that Serum clean sound and punch.
What's the CPU usage like? Low like Sylenth1, or higher like Serum?

Ah, "Some are the preset patches are quite cpu intensive". With my old computer I think I'll stick with Sylenth1.

Just to add to this most patches I have made have been ok cpu wise. You will be able to try it yourself for free on 24th so suggest it's worth testing yourself. Recently moved house and still havent set up desktop pc yet so the above test was on a 8th gen i7 laptop that only has 8GB ram so not the best compared to my normal desktop.

I am SO excited about this synth and since there's a Linux version I am planning to build a Pi400 DAW system around it just to see what it can do. This is obviously a developer worth supporting.

The wavetable editor looks very good. The stacking seem to be very interesting. Compared to other very good wavetable editors like the one in Phase Plant it lacks some "functions" for generating or modifying existing waves.

Really looking forward to trying this thing out...

I saw on his Twitter that he got $0.01 orders, but then PayPal takes 0.01. Perhaps he is rethinking the sales strategy. I put in $20, I suggest a little bit more than 0.01 if you plan to use it, it seems quite good. I understand that Serum at 150-170 is not a fair comparison either, especially if you already have a dozen great synths, the value to you is much less looking at it from an added value perspective. Thorn and Synthmaster One sell for 20-30 at times. Maybe $10-30 is the "right" price point as that will drive sales volume for him, but also provide a value when you already have a ton of synths. Just my thoughts.

Just to be clear, the $0.01 tweets are in relation to Helm (which is pay-what-you-want), not Vital (which will launch with plus/pro/sub tiers).

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I still stands by that I think Vital is worth more than 0.01 :ugeek:

Thats cool! I didn't know he was a Reason user. Quite a few developers that started with REs have gone on to great things now, like Unfiltered Audio and now Tytel.

I think they are based in America so it's only early in the morning of 24th there.

Good point. They're based in California so maybe 8 or 9am their time? It's nearly 7am currently so would expect it in the next hour or 2.
