Hi everyone,
Last week I bought a couple of JBL 305mkII monitors, from a good friend of mine.
They sound really fine to me, but since yesterday they sometimes seem to mute without any clear reason (to me at least). The light on the front of the monitor also dimmed. After switching off and on it all works fine.
I checked my gear (PC win 10, focusrite saffire 40 pro) and cables, but I can't find out what's going on. Does anybody has an idea?
Thanks Michel

I’m with Loque—it’s probably an automatic standby mode. if it works like my new monitors, it should come out of standby automatically after a couple of seconds of passing audible signal through.

This could not only happen when you have a break and don‘t play music (my Rokit KRK need 20 mins before standby), but also when you play your music too quiet. The monitors usually have a threshold level, and when constantly playing music at low levels, then they misinterpret it as „no activity“.

OK, thanks for your replies.
I'll try with a higher inputlevel.
