What I was hoping for in the goodie bag was a DAW called Reason that isn't 10 years behind the times and is being actively developed and isn't going to charge me for upgrades. Oh I already have that goodie bag! It's called Logic. Maybe RS should hire some programmers instead of wallpaper and GIF makers.
Imagine lurking a forum for software that you don't use just to complain about a product that you don't use lol

We are all happy that you found your goody bag, but still make the effort to come back to tell us. :puf_bigsmile:
Thanks the running theme goes right along with the last freebie that had no installation instructions.

I already can tell by the look of it that the NN19 will sound way more crisp and clean!

Reason is special. When I am done using a product I never think about it, nor visit forums associated with it. It's out of my mind forever. I am not mad about it, nor hate it.
Reason is special. For some it's a star. For others, a black hole.

Not a black hole or a star for me but something I invested in that let me down. Lesson learned. I assumed, by investing so much on so many upgrades, and by supporting the RE ecosystem, I would be helping build a competitive platform. The forums we visit and the people we talk to get our attention because we care deeply. A 20 year legacy is celebrated via mass adoption and satisfied users not dropping the ball and putting images of other leading DAWs on the homepage. The reward here is a refill, some GIFs, and some seriously ugly high contrast unusable wallpapers.

Psychosomatic. It probably will. 🤣

The pics do look great though. Thanks Reason Studio's and look forward to the next update. I had an update in the RRP today, what was added?

2 more questions though:-

1) Will devices be scalable? (my fingers and toes are crossed.)
2) Is this release gonna coincide with your 20th Birthday although that will be Sunday (it is the 22nd isn't it?) so maybe a day later in the 21st?

1) several sizes or some kind of « continuous » zooming so it works on a large variety of screens and users’s tastes
2) the hi-res pictures folder is named « hi-res preview 2021 » so likely 2021 ?

Well spotted. Probably will be 2021 then but doesn't mean it can't be this year. ;)

Some nice patches in the Refills today, especially the 303 ones. Great work by the patch designers.

Mentioning the 303, just got me thinking, what about a Reason Studio's 303 device to rival FL Studio's Transistor Bass? I think it's probably the best 303 VST out there, better than the Audio Realism one. Yours could have a sticker on it's GUI like the "I Love ACID" one on the Audio Realism one which says, "ReBirth Inspired". ;)

Is that a rhetorical question or? lol!

I think it sounds the best. Just been listening to D16 Phoscycon though and that sounds great.

Hmm. Thing is the Audiorealism one sounds great. I dare say they all sound great. Anything with a squelch. But how do you mean it’s better? Like more like the real thing? Sonically? Ease of use? Just wondering how you’re thinking. Not trying to push you.

We don't own anything. The investment goes toward our own growth. When I used to buy apps on my Ipad I wasn't expecting any type of ROI. I totally get the frustration though. That's why we are still here, in part.
The wallpapers are not easy on my eyes, I agree. A bit of monochrome noise (20%?), a bit of gradient would've helped a lot.

Just sounded the best to my ear when I demo'd it a while back but the best emulation is probably the Behringer TD-3 lol!

How is hi res handled for all the 3rd party REs?
Is it up to developers to redo graphics or what will happen? Pretty big issue isn't it?

All REs since day one have had hi-res GUIs already made and ready-to-go, Reason Studios just has to recompile them to use the hi-res assets.

I guess nobody noticed that the HD version of the NN-19 will be wireless. No more pesky cables since they removed the jacks on the back. LOL!!!
Maybe you need to activate the i/o slots to see them lol
