seems like in the middle the track changes, after the bass went crazy
ES400 Song Challenge
Nope! but all the synth sounds are ES400, like the bass, stabs, leads, pads etc. The none ES400 are the drums and vocal fx.
you should read the rules... Only ONE sound/stem beside ONLY ES 400's is allowed...
This is true, only one non-es400 Sound source is allowed! So either remove vocals or change the drums to be es400 based and you can still compete
Super Jazzy. Love it!Timmy Crowne wrote: ↑06 Nov 2020Here's my entry. I used ES400 for all sounds except for the trumpets that come in at 1:01, which came from the Spitfire Audio LABS Trumpet Fields patch. Thanks for setting this up, had real fun!
Ah, yes, so because I used the Siren, it wouldn't pass. Too bad. Anyway as everybody can guess I also used Glitch in this oneretreed wrote: ↑05 Nov 2020Yes, according to the rules, all Ekssperimental effect REs are allowed, but the other synths are not. I also made some good use of the Filter Chain RE, which compensated nicely for the "regular" plugins I was missing because the rule set.
Here is mine:
All sounds come from ES400. Fun challenge.
You used the Vintage ladder filter or the Horizontal rack one with the echo?? I Like the fade away effect towards the end, seems like a bit of echo was added there, nice!
Just make a Siren with ES400 and replace itRe8et wrote: ↑08 Nov 2020Ah, yes, so because I used the Siren, it wouldn't pass. Too bad. Anyway as everybody can guess I also used Glitch in this oneretreed wrote: ↑05 Nov 2020

I tried, anyway, here is a nice Siren ES400-Pulsar combi.... it's a mess! Now I just need to make Glitch with standard devices
In my phone so can’t check your patch now. But it’s quite easy! Make a square’ish wave and modulate it with the LFO, done!

Okay, so I made some Deep House
Only used drums other than the ES400 and only reason 11 stock effects. Was gonna do it in Live with the RRP but thought: Why not go oldschool and do it is Reason daw like in the old times? Here is the result, and it was fun to do it in Reason only and with only stock effects, very challenging but rewarding. Without further ado, here goes it:
Edit: I to mention a patch I used made by Loque the mad scientist sound designer which is an effect patch doing a bit of glitches in one of the sounds. I asked him about how to get a somewhat similar effect to some of the effects the hardware unit called microcosm can do, and he delivered.
I also used since of the es400 for drums, but layered some of them with sample drums.

Hello music makers.
This is my entry for the ES400 Song Challenge.
Just to confirm, all sounds are created by the ES400 synth, apart from the vinyl crackle effect which I use briefly at the start and the end of track. This was done using reasons Reasons built in Audiomatic Retro Transformer.
I really enjoyed making this and in a way it was totally refreshing to be limited to just one synth. Definitely going to try this method again but maybe allowing for a drum machine.
Cheers for listening and good luck all.

Okey so i made another song where i did follow the rules!
All the instruments and drums except high hats at 0:32 are ES400
The song is about the longing for next year to come with better news!

A bit of digidub with a lot of help from my mate Sharlene singing. I think I used 28 ES400's. Enjoy.

Here's my contribution.
All synths are ES400.
Drums are not ES400. I originally tried using ES400 for drums but really not a fan of mapping drums piece by piece from synths.
Effects are all from ES400 with helpful nudges by Reason's Scream, Echo and RV7.
Enjoy and good luck to all.

Reason comes with a Softube Bass Amp, in the Reason effects. Does hat count as a "Reason effect"?
Thanks to a fun competition.
Was afraid it was gonna be limiting my workflow but It was actually quite liberating to only use the ES400.
Some of the fx does come from Reason stock-fx, like the heavy pumping from Synchronous and some texture and crush from Pulveriser.

Hello Reason friends,
This is actually my very first post on the RT forum. A friend drew my attention to the ongoing challenge and the Es400.
So the same day I downloaded this amazing FM synthesizer. After several short drafts, I then decided to take part and put my time into an Es400 only track. I completely refrained from using devices other than the Es400 for my Song also the effects came out of the Machine.
Since a while. I'm a little on the AFX - Chosen Lords trip. This album has always been one of my favorite electro albums. Unfortunately, it's a unique piece of work and I've sometimes miss such amazing tracks out there. That's why I'm decided to do it on my own as far as I can. It's those awful tones that sound like scorched, sparkling, flashing circuit boards and these groovy rhythms that make this album so goddamn good.
Well. Have fun listening...
