I'm don't think I'll enter this challenge, there is no way I can make something sound so good as your entries!

You shouldn't think like that.PhillipOrdonez wrote: β01 Nov 2020I'm don't think I'll enter this challenge, there is no way I can make something sound so good as your entries!
Just keep doing you. Taking part might inspire you to push the envelope.
Get out of your comfort zone. And most importantly, get out of your own way.
Here we go.
My entry comes in form of a rough and dirty Dub exercise.
I had my fair share of troubles missing my beloved mastering chain and all the echo & reverb effects from AudioThing, but i did my best to achieve the right amount of grit and dirt to compensate for the clean FM- and Reason stock sound
All sounds generated by the ES400 and mangled through Reason stock devices only β with the obvious exception of the voice samples
Hope you'll like it! Peace!

I've been in many Song challenges in the past. Sometimes I've been lucky enough to get a prize, other times I haven't. Either way I've never regretted entering.
Really the worst thing that can happen is you get to try out a new cool synth for free and you'll also end up with a new finished song. That's great. It's a win either way imo. Getting a prize is just a bonus. At least that's the way I look at it.

Just tried to upload my entry. Soundcloud help tells me to use the share button, but there's no such button. Anyone care to enlighten me how to share a SC link?
Edit: Had to disable adblock to make it work
Only the kick is a sample the rest is all ES400

The question is - Who cares

Sorry for the stupid question! I take it a factory Rex loop cannot be used for ghost notes in addition to the main drum samples in Redrum or Kong?

Thanks. My Legend song is definitely one of the tracks I'm most proud of.
I think we all have different strenghts in music. And that's what makes challenges like this so exciting imo. Everyone does their own thing.
I dare to try...with some beats

Made a new one, this time I used everything. Siren, Preamp, Tape Echo, and ES400. Only Ekksperimental devices and stock Reason utilties and effects.
Just for fun, out of competition.
ENjoy the music!
Edit: Was it allowed to use all other Ekks devices in this challenge also? Too late anyway I didn't get it.

Yes, according to the rules, all Ekssperimental effect REs are allowed, but the other synths are not. I also made some good use of the Filter Chain RE, which compensated nicely for the "regular" plugins I was missing because the rule set.
Here is mine:
All sounds come from ES400. Fun challenge.

Here's my entry. I used ES400 for all sounds except for the trumpets that come in at 1:01, which came from the Spitfire Audio LABS Trumpet Fields patch. Thanks for setting this up, had real fun!
I made some tech-house
