The amp looks promising, but the lack of cv control for the siren seems like a missed opportunity for making it more creative than other sirens.

Which parameters would you have wanted CV control for? Curious

There are things I like about this, but I have other ways of making pretty similar siren sounds with VSTs. Part of what I like about REs is the CVs. It's not a deal breaker necessarily, but it does not jump to the front of the line for me the way it is. Just a personal preference. I like the dev and have bought the synths and filters.

For what are Sirens good? Isnt it just a pitch modulated sound? What makes this Siren special? I must miss something here...

I love it Loque but you’ll just build your own :):):).
Have you tried the sub bass on the dub preamp yet? Magic.

No realy, for what do you use the siren thing?

No, i have enough preamps, amps, saturation, tubes and all that stuff. And i suck in mixing sub, so everything that adds there, makes my mixes even worse

Here is my try on what it seems like to be a "siren" sound. Well, i made it to my taste. Turn off the phaser for some more normal stuff. So, is this a basic siren? just gamble around with pitch LFO,Env modulation maybe some more pitch stuff things?

It is a siren, but not a dub siren, still cool, thanks! :) It has a certain sound, used a lot in certain genres. Here is a clone of the original thing:

And another song:

I quickly found this one:
http://siren.zongosound.com/

Based on this one:
https://github.com/amarandon/dubsiren

So, its basically even much simpler. Its a simple Oscillator which is pitch modulated and the LFO can be varied in tempo and Amount. By pressing some buttons and turning knobs, you can interact with the sound. So i choosed a global LFO now and you just need to hit some notes. Hold a note and press another to get some glide.

Well, interesting stuff to make sounds with such a simple thing. Good to know, i dont need a expensive VST for that

It’s not a VST. It’s an RE. Just buy it :).

I have no idea what I’d use these for but congrats on the releases and you’re really killing it in the UI department these days!

I think the Preamp needs a video explaining all the possibilities with the sends and the x-over outs.

These devices have made me dig into my (extensive) collection of reggae and dub albums. Man, some of those records weigh a ton. Forget about 180g vinyl. These ones are made out of stone :)

Yea, on first look i was wondering if this device is mono only, since the break outs are mono only. A bit confused :?

These two devices are in a extremely narrow niche, so I can see that many won't buy them  - but I'm very happy you like the interface! ❤️
Both the siren and preamp are virtual emulations of classic sound system equipment - it's true that the preamp individual break outs are mono - sound systems almost always run in mono (often just one big stack of boxes). So the thought is that if you lack a hardware sound system preamp you can hook up the preamp separate outs to the sound interface, further on to the power amps (separate amps for bass, mids and tops). The X-overs are the frequencies where the signal splits, so you can tune the range to suite the speaker model.
For anyone interested in dub/sound system I highly recommend this documentary made by a friend some years ago:
https://fourthree.boilerroom.tv/film/musically-mad or: https://youtu.be/ym3YRo_m3HU (french subtitles)
Gives a great overview of the european/uk roots dub sound system culture featuring Ras Muffet, Russ Disciples, Ruben Addis, Iration Steppas, Channel One, King Shiloh, Stryda, Coxson, Mostec, I Natural and many more..

Loque is correct that it's nothing special with a siren - a simple one would be a oscillator and a LFO. In fact the two previous version (Mk1 & Mk2) was made with Thor in a combinator (you can check it out here: https://refills.ekss.se/) The special thing with a RE is that you can design it just the way you want, number of knobs, buttons, character of the sound, define ranges, set modes etc...
The lack of CV is because that if you want a dub siren you'd probably want it to sound as a dub siren. Pitch can be controlled via Note CV - if you'd want to control anything else it's always possible to stick it in a combinator and control any parameter with CV, but I regard that as edge cases and for special need like that it might be better to just use Thor or another synth.

Thanks for all the appreciation - there will come a couple of more devices soon that are more versatile and speaks to a wider range of producers. First one will probably be out monday!
