something like the "external audio effect" in ableton

i know it is perfectly possible to achieve exactly the same thing in Reason, but it is much easier to insert an "external audio effect" unit in Ableton, then it is to flip the rack around and do a bunch of cabling to and from the Audio I/O device at the top of the rack. Also much easier to switch around where in the effects chain the external effect sits.
