Europa's multiple feedback low-pass filters

It's a very strange sounding filter. Very resonant and aggressive. I honestly haven't been able to find a good use for this in my own patches. What sort of hardware did these filters come from?

The Moog is the ladder lp24 filter. The one I'm on about is one labelled MFB lp12/lp24/hp12. It just sounds so weird.

One advantage of the MFB LP24 is it won't loose low end when increasing Q as the Ladder will.
