Extremely slow updating licenses

Is anyone else having this problem? I've had occasions where the online functionality is just not working at all, but I've not seen it like this. The updating licenses process is going extreeeeeeeemely slowly. Like 1 percent every five minutes.

Yea I'm going through it right now. Been here for maybe 30 minutes just waiting :D

I was really motivated to get some stuff done, sort of a mood killer but stuff happens.

Yes extremely annoying. how are we supposed to create hit songs when somebody knocked a cable out of a server in Sweden somewhere? I've been using Reason since version 1.0, I am as loyal as can be. how can I keep supporting the cause like this??

Prolly just a modem that needs replacing.

always had this problem... updating licences is always the longest wait,,, I percent every 5 minutes is even worse then usual... server issues again I suspect.

sometime you need to go into your rack extension folder and delete the cache files there, it will then update very quickly after, when you try again. Not sure where on a mac but on a pc it is:
C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Propellerhead Software\RackExtensions

then go and delete any .cache files there and run the authorizer stuff again. Works for me every time.

Sometimes you need to sync, wait until it’s done it’s stuff then press sync again and then maybe even a third time. For some reason syncing doesn’t always download everything.

Yes it usually takes about 5-10 minutes for me.

The problem I see is that it scans all licenses (not just new ones) reverifying them all which is time consuming when you have 200+ RE's etc. The percentage keeps resetting to a lower value several times before reaching 100%.

I can understand it would scan all licenses initially to see which RE's have a later version and download them, but even when you have them all downloaded and updated it keeps rescanning and rescanning.

This has needed optimisation for several years now.
