sell me on Horizons while it is on sale... can't really tell from the demos provided... I have all of his/her racks but this one...
no mention on the amount of patches in manual or on page... how many presets provided?
Horizons... any good? any different from the others?

hadn’t even seen it before now, but this looks like like a great alternative to Thor if you don’t care for the look, or glut of features you don’t really need most of the time.
I don’t have it, but it’s Skrock, so it’s a safe bet any way you look at it. the demo vid sounded great, and I really like the UI. like I said, it reminds me of like a slimmed down version of Thor, in both UI and functionality. even has a mini mod matrix and a couple of CV ins on the back that can presumably be routed wherever you like.

Horizons is a go-to of mine for a lot of standard electronic patches. 3 voices, effects, 3 LFOs, 3 envelopes, per-voice filtering and mixing(with panning). It's pretty easy to dial in. My only gripe is the lack of a legato voice trigger function. Also, I wish it had more global matrix slots.
I have all the Skrock REs except for Tectonic and, as much as I love some of the others, Horizons is honestly the one I use the most.

Not too excited by Horizons
But while checking it out, I stumbled across another Skrock synth that I never knew existed... Electrons. Anybody using that one? The glide delay feature certainly looks interesting
