Transformers are usually used to drive the bottom end. The Kazrog one is quite OK. There is also a nice transformer emulation in the Lindell pre-amp (Plugin Alliance).
They just don't talk about it, so you may already have a good emu, you just didn't know...
Nothing super ground breaking with a trafo, just that transformers have hysteresis in the saturation/harmonics that is generated so it sounds slightly different.

Thanks. I was wondering what this may offer beside some EQ and bass exciting.
