I´ll second that.

It looks a bit like some RE Developer want to give a "workaround" for the "original view" of reason.

That looks way more appealing! Great job.

I like both looks, but the new definitely looks more modern, and having nice large controls is a good thing.

hoping to try this (and your other new one) out this weekend or next. LOVE the C1-L1, btw. :)

Yes, its good and based/copyied from Vladg's Molot Compressor. Very famous since quite a long time.

yep, I’d heard about that—wanted it in the rack, even though I think the Molot is free? the only compressor that gets more use from me is the RE2A.

Yes, its free. There is also a great and free limiter/compressor.
Tokyo Dawn has now those devices developed to the next level and from time to time you can get them cheap.

Hmmm anyone else like the old skin better?

I'm a big fan of that earlier Red Rock Sound visual aesthetic - slightly dirty colours, flat & functional, lots of character, bit of a "Moscow 1973" Cold War vibe. The new one's fine but it looks like every other plugin out there. I'll stick with the original

TDR's Kotelnikov compressor is the best compressor teacher, and all their manuals and videos are brilliant. I love that company.

Update is free. I hope it works better, cause it was hard to set it to something useful IMO. I see the dials are a bit different, so probably best to bounce tracks with the old version before updating in case you had something critical going on.

turns out this isn't something I need (it does sound great though!). I did end up picking up your normal RE 202 Exciter, which I'm not sure how I've missed for so long. I can say with some confidence it's going to get a lot of use.

Thanks Red Rock,

The Old GUI stopped me from using it so much. But love the look of the new one and will get it up once again.

Is there an improvement in algorithms or any control ? I see a CV output concerning the H.LVL.
Sorry but I was counting on the presence of an user manual: would it be for a VU-meter ?

Yes, it looked more like Reason device, less like a plastic 'rugged' toy.

And it's also weird they did that, seeing that their last device released 1-2 weeks ago has that 'old' look still :?

I'm curious, if Red Rock will update the Exciter with the new UI too.
What I'm wondering as well is, if the UI update has anything todo with a potential hi-res UI Update of Reason?

That was my thoughts too...it smells like something could happen soon...maybe...just speculation tho.

I’m not really up on this but if Reason gets a GUI update and that is indeed the root of the problem with the Red Rock RE, would that potentially make other future RE/ RE updates incompatible with Reason 10? All speculation I know.

I rather thought, that this RE uses some features, which are only available in the next update...speculation day today ;)

Kind of what I mean. They’re not going to update 10 so in that case all the REs which might use the new feature won’t work in 10.
No way to revert back to the earlier version of Bass Enhancer either.
