I'm gonna check the demo in the evening, but in the meantime - why would I want it if I already own TAL-Bassline-101?

Oh, and BTW the RE seems used and not in great condition - it's missing the VCF1 SRC slider, so there's no way I'd pay full price for it! ;) :D

I think the TAL is more of a clone and this is more like inspired by, the thing that I fell in love with was the simple 2OP FM and Ring mod additions, it gives some unique vibe that I really dig!

And holy smokes, I don’t know how many hour I’ve been staring at the front Panel screenshot and never realized a fader was missing.. will fix ASAP!
I think you should leave a fader missing on the actual device lol. But have the metal slider where the plastic piece is missing :D

But not like this one where it's missing all of them lol

I'm curious about that too, TAL has set a high standard for raw sound quality. Will definitely do an A/B test when I get a moment.

The biggest differnce is that TAL is aiming to be an authentic clone of SH101 while ES101 doesn't - it's more inspired of the architecture known from SH-101, Juno-106, CS01 and similar synths. It also adds another dimension by the FM and RM/Sine oscillators, making it a kind of hybrid thing. So a A/B test is not really relevant since they're quite different products. :)

This synth sounds so techy, I love it. Pretty unique!

Love this synth so far, it's easy and inviting to play around with. I'm a fan of the sh101 sound so this is what I've been looking for.

Well, like I said on YT, you read my mind, had been looking for one of these, sadly the older version didn't quite grab me as I wanted to have more of a slider GUI, so I'm absolutely chuffed to bits that I saw this this morning, also it's payday for me today, so have just made use of your intro offer and treated myself, nice.

Thanks again, really made my day, and I look forward to many hours/days/weeks/years of enjoyment. =)

All the best

Brilliant! Any chance we can get sustain pedal support? Super cool!

I haven't tried this yet but was kind of put off by the lack of a mod matrix on this synth. It's especially surprising because your previous (much simpler) synth had one , and now with this more complicated architecture, where it would really be useful it's missing...? That's a shame.

Will need to look into it!
I’m building using IDT toolkit since i don’t know DSP/C++ so it depends on how it could be implemented.

Regarding Auryns request for a mod matrix I chose a more hands on solution partly because a mod matrix would be very tricky to make with my knowledge and IDT (ES01’s code was written by buddard aka Robotic Bean) but also that I wanted to keep ES101 at 7U and have the onboard FX as a integrated part of the synth.
I’m relatively new to the IDT and this is the first synth I made all by myself so I hope to learn more along the way and be able to make more advanced stuff in the future :-)

If you have ES01 you can use them together in a combinator to route parameters like Note values, Random, Constant, Noise etc to the CV out of ES01 and then send that to ES101. This way they complement each other nicely since ES101 has so many CV’ins and ES01 has quite many mod sources in the matrix.
Together they form a pretty cool monster combinator-synth :D

30d trial of both, the presets can tell a lot about the synth's capabilities, and is a good way to start and tweak. After a couple of days you probably know what you like to work with the most and what fits your style.

I haven't tried BIT but from the looks it seems like it's quite capable!
I would recommend to trial both and see which one you like the most =)

A user found a bug; CV input for control of LFO2 speed is not working properly, it's been fixed and hopefully v1.0.2 will be available for download on monday!

Edit: Free update available now, just go to https://www.reasonstudios.com/user/rack ... term=es101 and resync it :)

Damn, I missed the intro price too for some reason. Thanks for letting me know what it was, I think I will catch it next time it's close to that.
