Hi,

I made this "making of" video, maybe someone could learn some tips on how to randomize things in Reason.
I use different techniques with Matrix, Pulsar and I tested different slow speed LFO's.

There is direct link to the separate parts in the description.
(all in 4k60)

The final 3 hour song is this one:

Thanks!
Yes I saw it, and I can see there is a lot of new devices I could use but this was made way before those where available, so you can say my way of doing it is "old style" :)
Also I like the way I can control the "randomness" by how many empty pattern I chose from in Matrix.

The worst problem was mixing it! Everything has varible random levels, so I had to fix a sound in highest level to see if it was too loud. But if the loudest variation only came once every 20 minutes, all the other levels where too low!
Really a pain in the a** :)

I don't think that is random generated, is it?

I use alter notes a lot, especially on drum patterns, but also on repeating piano passages etc to create variations. It's actually very useful.
