Looks cool!

$79 upgrade from the original Stutter Edit through July 30.

I'll have to revisit the original, which I haven't used much at all, and try the demo of SE2 to compare. It definitely looks more inviting to use.

I think the same fate befell everyone who has ever bought the first version lol. (And The same for BreakTweaker)

Did you see that price in your account? I own the original but don't see an upgrade price anywhere.

Yes, that's what is showing under my offers.

[EDIT] although I'm not sure what qualifies me for that offer. I was assuming it was because I own the original Stutter Edit... And it also says "upgrade", but even crossgrades show up as "upgrades" so I'm not sure...

$200 full price is a bit absurd.
Well I have SE1 so I can get the upgrade price but even still I'll wait for a better price than $80. Somewhere between the inevitable BF deal and the free on Plugin Boutique in a few years time.
I like version 1 but don't find it indispensable.

That's exactly what I think.

But if the upgrade was that seemingly magic no-brainer plugin price of $29 we keep seeing over and over, then I would do it.

For sure, $29 will very much have my interest. I think that's plausible in about 12 months time. 12 months that I can spend actually mastering SE1 first!

Midi remotable cc parameters? That is the major shortfall of v1 imo

80 bucks upgrade price where you could buy the original for around 5 bucks in the last sale? Naaaa.... I skip...

The main thing they need to improve is how you use it. It's a very confusing thing to setup in most DAWs. I remember swearing mucho until I sussed it. Then I came to love it although I don't feel the need to upgrade.

Nice marketing job there - launching it just after they have virtually given away the original in that recent bundle.

If we all wait a couple of weeks Izotope will be offering Stutter Edit 2 (via Plugin Boutique) within 17 different super confusing upgrade/cross-grade/start-again-grade/we-cant-think-of-a-proper-name-grade paths, simultaneously run, at varying half-tempting (impossible to compare side-by-side) prices.

Izotope win the prize in the whole music industry for the most repetitive/non-stop sales, under varying different names, prices and disguises. They give Plugin Alliance a run for their money on marketing shenanigans - was $4 Million yesterday, today it's 99 cents. Hurry and use code 'I AM A GAS SUCKER'.

Seriously - with so many 'this and that' SALES from Izotope, how am I supposed to trust when to buy from them. One week I am offered a bundle at $99, next week it's $79 but with 1 added extra bit of software, then it's hidden within some other jumbled package at $9 with a 48h must purchase before Sunday night carrot dangling.

STOP Izotope... this isn't the stock exchange with hour by hour changes... please consider our sanity.

Gggggrrrr... and back to Stutter Edit 2. Yes - $29 would be an amazing upgrade. $79 is too steep. I won't lose any sleep missing the July 30 deadline - it will back on offer the week after.

I stopped using their products because of that. They are generally not bad but the upgrade/sidegrade/whatevergrade-thing and the constant mail bombardment gets annoying. Every time an Izotope plugin shows up in the plugin browser I skip over it out of fear to be bombarded with popups about newest ever lowest prices. Ever.

I was really tempted by the last 50 Bugs Bundle, but decided myself not to go for it. I kind of expected that some of the apps will soon be "abandonware"(overdramatic) because of a NEW Version of it to come....... so here we are.... where is Iris 3 and Breaktweaker 2 ?
This is a SmartAss. Really nothing more than that !

Does anyone know, if the old presets of version 1 are included? If not I would have to keep both versions on my system, wouldn't I?

The predictions here were rock solid.

The upgrade price at PiB is now $49...

Every parameter has a modulation curve, huh!?
Turn off the stutter thingy, and we have modulation awesomeness?

Makes me wonder, should I do the 10d trial...

So they've addressed this:
