That's why keeping your old hardware is a good thing, if you can afford it.

until it breaks too and then you have to physically take it to the repair (unless UPS does it for you) and wait for it to come back and pay for the repair

(unless you own a Novation and the support guy sends you the borked part for free, 6 years after the guaranty expired ...true story )

Everything hardware I still own were bought before 1992. If my gear (ever) breaks I give it away to the Salvation Army. I believe in positive Karma.
