Since you are here I guess fingers are itching and GAS is boiling over
IIRC Largo is the sw version of their Blofeld.
But 30 bucks is for real, just go here:
https://audioplugin.deals/deal-2/
I have bought stuff there before, so it is legit.
Probably smart to try it first. There's not a lot of presets to buy and the factory one have mixed reviews. I've never seen it lower than 50% off its 175-ish price before.
[EDIT] Now $25 with code: apd-e1047-s622-lrg
(Thanks Loque for the find)

Does anyone know, did Waldorf make browsing patches in Largo more comfortable for now ? I have tried Largo a couple of years ago ang hated it because of terrible browsing
I'VE ALWAYS WANTED THIS SYNTH!!!! But I was never going to pay $179 for it. Gawddammmit, like I really need more synths. Sounds great, but the presets tend to gravitate towards the trance side.
Reminds me of my favorite VST synth of all time - Albino. ♥♥♥

Oh and the browsing isn't bad. Can arrow to the next preset. Or bring up a window with them all listed.
I think it's a wonderful sounding thing, though I knew it would be. I have Nave on the iPad and it too is fabulous. Admittedly I haven't had much time with it yet having just gotten it. I'm always LOVING something when I first get it. YMMV.

Nope - it's legit.

When I was trying Largo while going through patches I have noticed that they were not sorted by categories and I could't do that manually by clicking Atmo, Arp, for example. What I mean is if I was clicking "arp", in the category window, I would like to see arp presets in the left, where all presets should be presented. But changing category did not have any effect to presets window.
How does that work now ?

Trialed Largo once again - working with patches is just as terrible and unhandy as before. I can't comprehend why Waldorf don't make it more comfortable
I use the reason vst device patching system. It works, if you design your own patches.Michaellos wrote: ↑23 Jun 2020Trialed Largo once again - working with patches is just as terrible and unhandy as before. I can't comprehend why Waldorf don't make it more comfortable

Yeah, I heard Largo's Browser was wonky, and yes it is a struggle to use. Not read the manual...yetBRIGGS wrote: ↑23 Jun 2020I use the reason vst device patching system. Saving with Reasons VST systems seems to save the WHOLE Bank of 128 patches, not just a single patch.
So I have used Largo's own browser to save single "programs" (that is a patch). It has also worked for me to rename the patch name if you double click on the name in the patch list, not in the upper browse window. After that you also have to name the actual file when saving (smart guys use the same name probably).
To make a new Bank:
I selected the Init Bank, and used the reason VST patch browser to add the individual patches to the bank, one by one. Just need to select 001, then load patch, select 002, load another one.
We'll see if there is a better way...
The factory sounds are quite a hit or miss IMO, but many unique sounds exists that are gems. Haven't tried to program from scratch yet, but tweaking sounds is easy enough. The reverb is not great, but can be used just little.
The rest is all digital glory and a great unison and can go from sparkling clean to a nice dirty sounds, some of the best "dirty" that I have come across. But all in all, nothing too special about this synth so far that i have discovered, it sounds good, and $30 bucks is well, not much to argue about, even if just for the patches and some tweakability.
Maybe the special thing is that you can make Layers, so 8 wavetables and 16 filters in one patch, well, Serum will probably sound weak in comparison

Tempting.. I've had the micro Q many years ago. While terrible to program, it did sound good.
The only thing - yes, patches management it's some pain here. (Well, the same can say for many devs, like Xils synths for example, despite good sound). But i personally never take it into account as a big problem. As well as UI size etc. Synthesis\sound is the main thing.Michaellos wrote: ↑23 Jun 2020Trialed Largo once again - working with patches is just as terrible and unhandy as before. thanks for the heads up! great catch and the additional coupon code is even better. like others already mentioned... beautiful sounding synth and somewhat weird patch browser/handling .
waldorfs older plugin LE suite is also a steal - mainly for the ppg vst (only limitation - similar to the original machine - is the polyphony with 8 voices). instant tangerine dream flashbacks
