I think I’m in love.
Just got myself the VST version!
Hopefully RE will be free (or at least at a generous discount).

OMG guys!
Less that 5 minutes of playing with the demo I was off to the shop. I could not wait for the RE (and I like the bigger VSTi UI for my aging eyes). Surfing through the patches I couldn't wipe the smile off my face!
This synth rocks. It is everything I'd hoped from Synapse Audio. Well done to the team!!
When you turn off the buckloads of FX on a patch, the vintage character really shines through. It's organic, nuanced, phat, deep, rich, and all those other subjective words we're not supposed to use to accurately describe a synths's sound
Great job Richard and co. !!
(I can't wait for the thread where someone claims you can make Thor sound like this )

Same here. RE over VST any day. Looking forward to this one. Sounds great. Pretty sure I’ll be buying the RE as soon as it’s launched

Wonder what the price will be. My original guess was €99, but since they changed the prices I guess it would be €109?
Synapse complete your bundle deal for €1.TritoneAddiction wrote: ↑21 Jun 2020Wonder what the price will be. My original guess was €99, but since they changed the prices I guess it would be €109?

They don't have to pay anyone a fee to give you a free VST. To give you a free RE they need to pay Reason Studios the percentage of the sale, despite the fact that there was no sale.
This is the same across all app stores, before anyone starts painting RS as uniquely greedy here.
Yes, but you can make Thor sound like this
Yes exactly! Distributor would be a big part of the solution!
Get the VST now...and the RE for free when it is released.
there are some really nice sounds.
The "Confused Dreams KS" made me listen twice.
Mhh....no, i dont need another synth.... or ? ... NO !!! ..... or ? (to be continued)
Damn, I really should not have listen twice to that patch.

This is a SmartAss. Really nothing more than that !
...just to add : HAMUs "ModPanel8" can also do the "monopoly-trick" , i´ve just done it myself. But the Distributor still has some advantages.

So I imagine they are going to use the back panel again like they did with The Legend, and to be consistent with the look and setup of the VST/AU?
I'm curious if they can perform a trick (using what I call the ABL3 trick) to make it so the controls on the back panel can be automated...
If a control on the back panel is tied to a control on the front panel, then it can be automated (such as with ABL3).
I wonder then if a second panel on the front could be used, whether it is accessible or hidden, and those controls tied to the back panel. I think I'd lean more towards them simply creating a second front panel for the mod matrix, effects, etc. versus using the back panel. But if they want to use the back panel for design purposes, I wonder if this trick would be possible and pass acceptance.
I know it's possible to make controls on the back automatable by tying them to controls on the front...I'm just not sure if they can be tied to a second panel (perhaps hidden with minimalist graphics nobody sees) and still work this way...

If VST and RE are the same price, this works the other way too - if someone buys the RE but gets the VST for free, Synapse still lose the same RE sale percentage. Basically (RE+VST), to Synapse, is always (1x price -RS commission). Doesn't matter which way round they do it.
Never thought of that - makes sense, of course!EdGrip wrote: ↑24 Jun 2020If VST and RE are the same price, this works the other way too - if someone buys the RE but gets the VST for free, Synapse still lose the same RE sale percentage.
