Sorry for title gore, was hard to describe this succinctly!

Here's what I want to do:

Using players, can you think of a way to have a note sequence, with a separate sequence (of different length) determining the velocity of the notes?

Example: A straight 4 note arpeggio. But I want to loop a velocity pattern polymetrically, so that every third note is louder.

Is this a thing that can be done with Reason players, or is it made impossible because of how gate and velocity is linked (in most devices)?

My available Players:

Scales & Chords
Beat Map
Dual Arpeggio
Note Echo

Drum Sequencer
PolyStep Sequencer
Quad Note Generator

CV Player Tap
Evolution Sequencer
Kompulsion Sequencer Arpeggiator

Selig NoteView
AB Transpose
ST100 Strumming Machine

I’m not 100% sure but I think Delta MIDI Computer can do this.

Easiest way is two Matrixes, one for gate/velocity and one for Note (I just tried to make sure it works as I remembered).
Using MIDI-CV or CV Player Tap you COULD convert to a Player (but at that point, why?).

Oh, wow, I had a look at the manual. I'd seen it in the shop, but only glanced at it. Seems powerful and complicated.

Yeah, Matrixes is the pragmatic practical way. I just tried it, and it "just works". So thank you!
But Matrixes are a bit clunky compared to the modern player sequencers.
It's just I've become addicted to the Player workflow. Why? Send to track!

Send to track is what sold me on Players also. :)
