It's been a while since I've posted any new music. Here's a new one I finished mixing and mastering today. I recorded this with a friend of mine. He's on vocals while I covered all of the music, mixing and mastering. Everything was done within Reason.

Enjoy! Feel free to comment, like, dislike, criticize, etc.

Hey Strangers! Good to see you posting some music. Hope this whole corona business is manageable over there in the States and that none of your familiy/loved ones has fallen ill.

I have to be honest and say that this kind of singer/songwriter type music isn't really my cup of tea. It sounds good though, and I hope you've healed from whatever drama inspired this song.

Stay safe!

Sounds good!

Also not my cup of tea but I can appreciate it anyway.

I was almost expecting some distorted guitar to come in. Sort of like this track

Thanks Auryn! I'm planning to get more music done in the near future. The Corona virus is pretty intense here. I'm in NJ where numbers are skyrocketing. That's because more testing if finally being done which is a good thing.

Totally unrelated but still working on new refills?

Thanks Aeox! We kept this one fully acoustic. Distorted guitars are on the horizon for sure.

Yeah, last year has been pretty hectic work-wise and I've also been a bit burnt-out on sound designing. There's still an almost-done Europa refill on my desktop. Hopefully this quarantine business will help me drag it over the finish line!

Here in Amsterdam things are pretty intense too. I work in psychiatric care so I can't stay home and most of our clients have pretty frail health so that's quite stressful to say the least. Feels pretty inevitable that I'll catch the virus at some point, but I rarely get the flu and have never had pneumonia so I'm hopeful that I'll be fine.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. The past refills have been awesome. Stay healthy out your way. I'm also in healthcare directly in the mix on the lab side. It's pretty intense. Best of luck keeping clear of the virus.

BUMP

I was just browsing the soundcloud for Left Hand Recording Studio (is that your studio?) and I came upon this track that I liked, so I gave it another listen and BAM instant memories...
in fact I'm just gonna re-post it for promotional purposes:

Anyway I really love this track, it's the sort of languid, dreamy, carefree sound that instantly conjures summer time and youthful romance by the sea somewhere.
It's like midway between Joy Zipper (awesome american two-piece that sadly vanished off the planet after 2 great albums and 1 slighly less great one) and Belle and Sebastian.

Anyway listening to that (and Aeox' comment about the missing guitars) kind of put me in tune with why I didn't gel with the Seven Years track. There's a faint 'emo' aspect about it. Like if I try, I could imagine hearing Chester Bennington (RIP) screaming this over a wall of guitars...

So I say: carefree acoustic Strangers is the best acoustic Strangers!
(while ofcourse being mindful of the fact that you don't always choose your moods/life experiences!)

Good song. You have a good ear for music / melody and good lyrics too.
