Hello,
I don't ask to be rude, but I pose a fair question: what is your long-term commitment to Reason as a DAW? I've been a user since 4 and switched to a fully-dedicated Reason user when Record came out. I was happy when Record and Reason merged. However, it is a "reasonable" assumption that the future of the standalone is in doubt and a phrase like "if there is a reason 12" provides more basis for wondering.
For me, everyone's preferred alternative - Ableton - does not provide the same experience and workflow that reason does. However, videos like the one featuring Ryan, where I see the external DAW (which I know is necessary to demonstrate reason as a device), creates more doubt.
Could you please consider an emphatic statement this year on long-term intentions?
Many of us followed Propellerheads (miss the name and wish it didn't change) into the RE world and invested in the ecosystem, but most moves (losing rewire was one of them) presage that Reason's future is as a service, using VST, in other DAWs rather than a focused in-house DAW with a robust improvement strategy. The issue with high-res/dps monitors and the UI size is just example.
Thank you for what you do and Love Live Reason.
