USB power introducing noise

Hi everyone. I’ve got a live rig set up with the following:
  • iPad running NanoStudio
  • Boss VE-500 vocal effect
  • Roland VT-4 vocal effect
  • Akai mini controller keyboard
  • Behringer 302 mixer
  • Wireless in ear monitor transmitter
This all works great but there are a lot of power cables. Several of the devices are powered by USB, and currently each have an individual USB power adapter. I would like to condense this down to a USB multi adapter, but both the ones I have tried introduce a lot of audible noise. Even with its own separate power supply, the VT-4 has some hiss compared to running it off batteries. Is there anything I can do to remove this noise, either on the VT-4 alone, or preferably on the whole setup when using a USB multi adapter?

Thanks in advance

Hmm, not a bad idea. It takes 4 AA batteries so 6 volts but I assume since it can take power from USB it would function on 5 volts. It would be trivial to wire up +ve and -ve from a power supply to it. To be honest I’m pretty disappointed in Roland these days.

I’d still love to be able to power them all off a multi USB charger instead of their own mains adapters if possible, so if anyone has any ideas about that I’d be really grateful :)

There are Y shaped usb ground hum adaptors. I'm not sure what to do with it because I never needed it but I got one with my Arturia gear.

Thanks man, is there anything on there to identify what it is? I’m trying to search for it but google just wants to show me different things to what I’m searching for :problem:

They only sell it in a kit it seems. But maybe you can find one else where.
