Looking for good Synth Basics Tutorials
Hi. I been looking at synths for a long time, played with some but never had a full understanding of what all the options was about. So far I understand that wave forms shape the sounds like the difference between a sine and a sawtooth. I get lost after that so I always end up playing with a preset but I would love to know how to create my own sounds from the very basics. I can see the potential but still trying to understand the flow with all those knobs. I been looking for some tutorial videos but there are so many. I have yet to find that one that makes me say, "Oh, Ok, I understand now". I'm wondering if anyone here know any great synth tutorials that get right to the point with clear explanations for absolute beginners. In the mean time , I'm still searching the net. Thanks in advance.
I liked this pretty much:

Might be a lot to read, sometimes a bit complicated, but worth to give it a try.

Yes I did. Peter Jubel. Interesting. He designed the first Nord Lead. Great work.

Are the sounds used in that tutorial from an in-built Ableton synth?MrFigg wrote: ↑07 Mar 2020About as basic as it gets but pretty cool

Great sources everyone. Thanks!! Going into nerd mode.
@MannequinRaces- I downloaded that earlier. Gonna give it try.
@Creativemind- That's a great series. Thanks. I love to get down to the universal basics. He does a good job. Watching that series now while experimenting. He made me laugh when he said if a building falls creating a vibration at 440 HZ it would make a huge A sound I love that kind of knowledge.
@Briggs- Thanks! I been taking that Subtractor for granted. But now that I'm learning, I'm sure I'll be making use of it more.
@MrFigg- That's an awesome site!
Now I'm wondering if electric companies are actually using synthesizers to deal with harmonics.
