I've recently been rediscovering the music of Al Cisneros, bass player for the band "Sleep", then the band "Om", and also a solo album.

Here is 'Toward Nazareth'. Vaguely reminiscent of a Tori Amos instrument melody (Cornflake Girl), but in some ways that makes this track even more fascinating. And that bass... !

Here is a track from the band 'Om', also featuring Cisneros.
The music starts after 1:00, for those who don't enjoy the Hindu chant intro.

I was fortunate enough to have seen 'Om' live, only once, around 10 years ago, and their set was incredible. They were the main act in a small bar venue that holds around 400 people.

There's probably no musical future for Al Cisneros, due to both his age and the style of music he's mostly been involved with, but the vibes are there for eternity, by way of several albums in the back catalog.
