And here's Sequences 1.3!

  • Ratchet Lane with Repeats, Velocity ramp and Pitch offset
  • Length, Mute, Tie, Octave and Ratchet settings are now all stored for each note instead of each step
  • Added an in-display overlay button to quickly delete selected notes
  • Added a new Tools function: Fill, that repeats a range or note selection until the end of the display
  • Various enhancements and bug fixes
And this is of course a free update for all current owners of Sequences. :D

Thanks! Love your continued support. This is exactly why I chose Sequences over Polystep.

Great update! Thank you for the continue support of the product. Ratchets are great. Sequences now does triplets! YAY!
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Very powerful update. Switching to the per-note model (as opposed to per-step) is a great idea. Congrats team!

I've never regretted the decision to buy this on first sight, but it never hurts to get even more confirmation into a good decision made :)

I love using this as a first instances and gradually copy pattern to track. I like the layout.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! What an awesome update!

Since Sequences is now even more better suited to drum sequencing, it would be awesome to be able to switch between normal note view and some sort of folded or drum note map view.

Also, please give us randomize button which is Remote mappable.
Again, thank you for your great work.

Wow!! Downloading this right now. Amazing work, really.

Now that we have per note settings, do you think probability is viable? For drums this would be especially cool but you could have chords where additional notes/voicings come in and out randomly. Just a thought but, not to hit you with more requests straight after such a meaty update. Just putting it on the radar ;)

Thanks RB!!

We're a bit hesitant about bringing in drum specific stuff because it might overcomplicate the product. But the idea is definitely noted and we're taking it into consideration.
Also, please give us randomize button which is Remote mappable.
Randomization will probably appear sooner or later, but we won't be able to make it Remote mappable.
It's because Remote can only be mapped to a single property in the device, and only a simple number property or a toggle property.
The random feature would have to modify multiple properties, among those the rather complex pattern data properties.
The only way this can be done in an RE right now is through a custom display script, and that will only run while users interact directly with the display...

Yeah, we're taking a break from Sequences now to work on other stuff, at least for the next couple of months. But we're hoping to make at least one more update for Sequences later on!

Probability is definitely viable, and it's a hot candidate for the next update, although nothing is confirmed until we actually start working on it. ;)

The idea right now is to include it as part of a full implementation of trigger conditions (probability, recurrence, dependency to previous condition, etc, etc), similar to what we did on Step Note Recorder. We're still debating whether to make it per-note or per-step. Per-note is cool because the conditions will follow along when you move or copy notes, but it introduces some very tricky cases to consider, both from a functional and UX perspective. So there's a lot to think about! :)
