Hello,
I have Reason 9. When I upgrade to Reason 11 Suite, will I have to keep suite versions or is it possible to update to regular Reason 12?
Reason 11 Suite upgrade to regular Reason 12?
It's all guessing at this stage. My guess is you will go from 11 suite to 12 reg for the normal upgrade price of $120. 11 suite to 12 suite will be the same as 10 or 11 regular to 11 suite cost, $250.
I'm guessing there'll be no 12 Suite. It's just something special for version 11 customers to get all(most all) of the Props REs. How many REs do you think they can release between now and version 12 to justify the whole "suite" thing again?

Which is why I believe they will offer the same thing again, if they even offer it at all (this was clearly an incentive for new/returning users).
Current Suite users will have to upgrade just like everybody else.

It'll certainly contain PX7.

This is one of the reasons i didn't upgrade to suite, probably there wont be an upgrade(downgrade) path from suite to regular.
I expect that there will be a Reason 12 and a Reason 12 Suite. And i expect that upgrading from Reason 11 Suite to Reason 12 means, that you have no "Reason 11 Suite"-only device anymore. But this is all speculations because there is no official information about that.
1. The additional devices bundled with R11-Suite cannot be withdrawn, whether it be upgrade to R12 Suite or Regular or even Intro.
2. If the R12-Suite contains the same bundle, the upgrade from Suite will cost as much as Regular to Regular. If there is something added, then it's gonna be a little bit more costly. A little bit because they seem to have already included just everything in the R11-Suite.
3. The direct upgrade from 10 to 12(suite) will always be cheaper than the path 10-11(any)-12(suite).
Here is how I see it.

Don't underestimate their ability to churn out instruments and effects. Between 10 and 11 they released:
Layers Wave (Layers 1 released a week or so before 10)
Umpf Club
Umpf Retro
Reason Electric Bass
Drum Sequencer
Reason Drum Kits
Complex-1
Quad Note Generator
Polystep Sequencer
Processed Pianos
Meanwhile Reason itself has effectively been more or less moth-balled.
The only thing that makes sense is to only a suite 11 to suite 12 and have it the same price or < $50 extra as standard 11 to standard 12. They’ll add 2-3 suite only rack extensions and it’ll entice other users to go 11 standard to 12 suite.

I think if you go from R11 Suite to regular R12, nothing weird will happen. The only thing the suite version is is basically a rack extension bundle. I mean I can use my Suite REs in R10. Why wouldn't it work the same way in R12?
