Another dark ambient patch, inspired by the atmosphere on the spaceships from horror sci-fi movies (like Event Horizon, Aliens, Prometheus etc.)

Something to play around. I mapped a few interesting controls to the Combinator controls and added a quick sequence to start with.

Here is a little sequence with more noise sounds in a feedback loop. If the sound does not drop, lower the feedback loop on Channel 10 or in The Echo.

Oh, both are very nice !

The sequenced combobinator has a really great drifty low sound going on, very ominous :o

Mine wouldn't sound that great compare to yours. I'm no expert in creating patches, but i do like to experiment. But if what your saying is, this is only meant for members of this thread, i guess i misunderstood.

This is an effect i guess. Its the modular tapestop type effect at the very end of 'Karma Police ' by Radiohead.
Draw 16bar long note in sequencer (i drew c2) . Automate the combfilter's Pitch downwards after about 4 bars for a length of 8 bars or so and let it ring out for the last 4 bars. To automate you obviously have to switch off 'show cables' button .
If you record from start of the automation only onto an audio track and save it i guess you could just throw it in anywhere in your music. I just stumbled on it today and because i love the effect in the original song i guess i post it here :puf_bigsmile: Why not

I experimented with the LPG to get some percussive sounds. Combiniing this with noise very interesting and you can get low-drum-sounds or hi-hat-percussive stuff, depending on the LPG Release and Noise Type/Rate/Color settings.

Here is a zip-like sound, where i connected the Pitchbend to the Comb-Filter and i modulated the PItch bend CV with a Pulsar, just to have additional movement. There is a little sequence in it to play around, but results you get with your own notes and rythems and ofc with modulating the PB while playing.

I like noisy pads and i tried to see, what Complex-1 can do. It sounds good, but the lack of Polyphony sux, so i added Distributor. If there is still someone out there, who does not have it, buy it here: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/prod ... -system-i/

For everyone else, have fun in the ambient world :-D

I call this one the 'Jimi Hendrix' . Draw bar notes in the sequencer. Tune the sequence to the key of your song by adusting the value of the pitch Knob in the comb filter section . Change the step sequencer values until you have the exact riff you want and let the riffage begin

EDIT: I can't seem to get any of the patches from this thread to load, and I have no idea why!

I downloaded the various patches in .repatch format. I put them in a folder, opened Reason, loaded Complex-1, and start dragging and dropping the patches onto it -- but none of them load!

When I drag and drop a patch onto Complex-1, it shows the patch name in the synth for a moment, but than instantly goes back to 'init' (or whatever patch I had previously loaded). The patch never gets loaded successfully.

All my own Complex-1 patches load just fine, as do all the factory patches. So I have no idea what is going on here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

My Original Post....

Whoa, great thread! I've had Complex-1 since it came out, but never noticed this thread.

My 'speciality' with this thing is generative patches, since it absolutely excels at them. I'll go through my various banks, make a 'best of' and then post them here soon.

Let's keep this thing alive!
