Check your email for an early bird Black Friday sale coupon from XLN, which will supposedly give you access to lower prices than those during their Black Friday sale. So far what I am seeing is midi packs for $9.97 (reg $19.95), AD packs for $44.97 (reg $89.95), XO for $89.97 (reg $179.95), RC Retro Color for $39.97 (reg $79.95) and more. Very nice!

GAAAHHH! I didn't receive this. But I get their newsletter. Is this a different type of newsletter?

Edit: it seems like that's limited to people who already bought something from them. Anyway I hope the difference in price compared to BF is just a few cents :)
:reason: Most recent track: resentment (synthwave) || Others: on my YouTube channel •ᴗ•

It appears as though Nomad Factory's plugins are all on sale. No mention of this being a "Black Friday" deal, but it seems to be one: https://www.jrrshop.com/nomad-factory?d ... order=name

One of my favorite reverbs is 80s Spaces and you can grab it for $29 (reg $179).

Yes! demoed this a few months ago, liked it a lot but decided I didn't really need to drop $149 on yet another reverb. It's good, does the ultra-saturated 70s dub thing very nicely but also works well on subtle settings as a gentle enhancer. Surprisingly versatile, has a lot more tricks up its sleeve than just that classic sproingy effect. Grabbing this for sure

PSP gear is great, I have their BusPressor and Echo delay, both excellent plugins

While it may not seem to be marketed as a Black Friday sale, Plugin Boutique has their VirtualCZ and Carbon Electra synths at 50% off through December 5th. VirtualCZ + a free expansion can be had for $39. Carbon + a free expansion for $25. You also get Nectar Elements for free.
VirtualCZ sounds 99% like my hardware Casio CZ-1 and there are tons of presets out there. If you can't grab Arturia's CZ, this is a really good alternative. The developer of VirtualCZ was involved in the develpment of Arturia's CZ.
VirtualCZ: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/ ... -Expansion
This is a good recommendation. I did extensive comparison between Virtual CZ and Arturia's. Virtual CZ won by a mile and I bought it. Lots of good Casio presets to get for free and the PiB packs are good too. Arturia's presets are drenched in reverb and the built in LP filter, it just sounds, well average/generic, that way. Virtual CZ just sounds like, well like a CZ, and it sits very nicely in the mix. I must have 20 synths, and if I could only keep two, Virtual CZ would be one of them, yeah, don't sleep on it... :geek:
10% off at Waves with link: https://www.waves.com/r/6gh2b0
Disclaimer - I get 10% as well.

A while ago I tried out L’otary but I found it was pretty heavy on DSP.

yes, I had the same problem with nexcellence, but that was before the VST performance issues were solved in Reason, I haven't used nexcellence since then as I've ended up buying Valhalla vintageverb and liquidsonics seventh heaven which I like to use more than nexcellence

I want to get Spire since over a year already but their sale is every now and then and always the same price, it's a good deal but there is no feel like the Black Friday sale or any other sale in their shop is special, so I always end up waiting for another moment to spend those 129 Euro on this synth

129 is too much for Spire imo.

It's still a great synth, however being 6 years old more capable synths have been released since then. Avenger for example is around the same price (undiscounted) and has way more possibilities.

I honestly don't get their pricing policy. I paid around 100€ on black friday back in '14. Keeping exchange rate in mind, it was still cheaper back then.

That's exactly my thought too, it seems to be too expensive for what it is and I always hope to see a better offer some day but that didn't happen so far.

Knowing that the synth was even cheaper before doesn't really help, I might end up getting it out of my wishlist

I'd prefer dune 3 if you want a warm sounding synth at this point, have you trialed it? You can go ridiculous with the number of unison voices, all with acceptable CPU.

Dune 3 is definatly on my black friday list.

I expect reveal sound are working on spire 2. Makes sense if you look at the slow changelog. But the story stays the same there's more capable synths around for the price. Imho 70-80 € would be an acceptable price tag for spire, with a cheap upgrade path to spire 2.

The advantage spire and eg sylenth1 have as older synths, is that their historical popularity ensures a very long list of commercial and non-commercial preset banks if you don't like programming your own sounds.

Look like normal retail price to me. So 50% discount after 100% increase

Thanks, I think I had only seen a video about Dune a some time ago and forgot about it but it looks like a very interesting alternative indeed. I only wished to see some demos in more modern styles other than trance or cinematic, but I'll keep on researching on this software. For me it's going to be too little time to get it on the next Black Friday sale, but I didn't intend to get Spire either on this sale so I'll take my time to do some research here. Thanks again.

I don't think Spire 2 is due too soon. They're still working on updates to the current version like a much improved browser amongst other things. I think Dune 3 is probably overall better but Spire has definitely has better envelopes - it can make really punchy sounds that cut through the most dense mixes. Avenger is much more comparable to something like UVI Falcon.
