Hi All!

Can someone please tell me what timing this guitar strum is?

4/4 Syncopated

SYNCOPATED

ADJECTIVE
.

(of music or a rhythm) characterized by displaced beats or accents so that the strong beats are weak and vice versa.

Found that online, what exactly do you mean, 4/4 but strummed in a certain way?

it's 84bpm-ish and an accommodating rhythm could go like this:

definitely 4/4. oversimplified; syncopated just means you're putting more accents on the upbeats rather than the downbeats. funk is heavily syncopated, and is also often in "standard" time signatures (i.e. 4/4 or 3/4).

Somewhere 84-86bpm yeah.

Tried your Drum Sequencer pattern out with Redrum. Worked but not sure if it felt too rigid. On my strum I thought there was a kind of swing feel to it (at the end of the strum loop mainly) well that's what it felt like when I tried to record it on Reason before I made this thread.
