We should have a "What was the first single you bought" thread..
Most recent track: resentment (synthwave) || Others: on my YouTube channel •ᴗ•
First single I bought was either "I Want to Hold Your Hand/I Saw Her Standing There" or "Can't Buy Me Love/You Can't Do That (I think)" or possibly both. Well technically, I think I made my mom buy them. I'm old, but I'm not (quite) so old that I had disposable income in 1964.
To revert to topic, been listening to a lot of Bent Knee:

I recently picked up Elka Village by LudoWic after stumbling across his music on Soundcloud. I really like it - some nicely moody/intense electronic music with a cinematic/deep flair.

I've never bought a single the only music I've bought so far was the vinyl album W:/2016ALBUM by deadmau5.
Pistols Propaganda/ I’m not your stepping stone 7” by the Sex Pistols. (50p on sale)
First LP was Upstairs at Eric’s by Yazoo .

This is from 2011 but discovered it on Friday by looking at some iZotope video on how she uses their software for mastering one of her songs, and cannot stop listening to her now

His Wikipedia article was very interesting, I didn't know him. Incredible voice.
Even more interesting was the article on Samizdat, the copy culture of banned media in soviet Russia.

Hey I've got a question. What are the drums used in this beautifully cheesy early 90s earworm?

An Emotional Fish
I heard this one on a local radio station today and it had been so long since i heard their music that i'd even forgotten the name of the band
Late 90's band had a brief stint of stardom until things went belly up. I met the lead singer a few years ago, he's been in a few other bands since . He's quite the eccentric and has one of the strangest dublin accents you will ever hear. What great about this track imo is the sheer width of the vocals ..especially in the choruses.... so cool.
