Hello everyone,
My request is quite special and it's a little of a bottle in the ocean. I use reason since 2008, and I composed a track back then on Reason 4 and I lost the .rns. It results that 10 years later, my own track became a mystery to me on how exactly I composed it.
I wondered if it was possible that somebody tells me which Refill I used. I know I was in possession of a free Refill back then (that was great and I don't remember the name unfortunately). I know I was using a lot of combinators (without additional modules exept the drum) and the tempura comes from the Malestrom and a bird/waterfall sample in background but some mystical/world sounds come from the unknown Refill.
This is the track:
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I'm sure that I used that Refill I had back then. So my question is more:
Would someone, by chance, recognize the name of that free Refill certainly released back in 2008 or 2009? They are the ambiant/mystical sounds I used, for example the sounds at 0:46 or 1:04 or 1:18.
Thank you for your help!
Bottle in the ocean: Search free Refill from 2008
If you figure out anything at all that gives you an idea of what you used that would help. I probably have it if it was a free refill from back then. Or I've got a link to where it is on the Internet Archive's wayback machine. (I made a spreadsheet when I was exhaustively searching it a year or two ago.) If you ask him on facebook, "Refill Yourself" might know, and he's got a large amount of reviews he's done of free refills.
You don't have the original Reason files?

Damn.
Damn.
The Refill has unfortunately been lost with the .rns certainly when my hard drive crashed years ago. I will try to ask to that "Refill Yourself", thanks!
Except the sounds on the track at 0:46 or 1:04 or 1:18, I don't remember. I know for sure I got that Refill back then on a suggestion on the forum Reason France but the forum has been replaced by another one since. :/

Ok, that's a great tip. The Reason France forums closed (though they reopened with the same web address.) But the old forums are mostly preserved on the wayback machine.LordLarsa wrote: ↑14 Sep 2019The Refill has unfortunately been lost with the .rns certainly when my hard drive crashed years ago. Perhaps you used a Willbe refill?

Perhaps here? (flash required... but no big combi collection)

Granular China's original page is here (With the refills in there if you search around.)

If it's 2008-2009 there's probably a Thor in the combi. Maybe it's something from Exode? Or one of the Reason France community refills? Though I am thinking it kinda sounds like Velvet Sky's Analogue Soda refill. http://velvetskyemusic.com/Refills.html (Though no listing for it, it's here: http://velvetskyemusic.com/Refills/ )
Tom Pritchard did some refills under the 'Stompp' handle, or it could be Robert Todd's Nightclub Pads. I did find a review on the wayback machine from Reason France of sonic flavor's Mystic Dreampads (which is a series) so you may have used a demo refill from that. You may have also used one of the Klangovisionen Atmospheric Pads demo refills. (His site mentions that he won the Big Sounds Championship Pads, um, contest?) You can find his demos here: https://web.archive.org/web/*/klangvisionen.com/* (seach for RFL, sort by mime type.)
Hope this helps in your quest.
