Well. I’ve got them anyway now. Dragged a couple of them into the rack and pushed some keys and they all sounded pretty much the same. To be perfectly honest I don’t have the slightest of a clue what to do with them hahahahaha :). Oh well :).

What a steal at that price, they have gone back up to £35.55 now...
I'm still seeing 13,20 € in Germany as well, maybe you need to refresh your Webbrowser cache?

I believe like the H/W versions they supercede V1, by providing the same plus more.
As far as I know and reading from the Synth V2 description itself, I'd rather say that they don't provide the same

"variants of the previous versions with added experimental functionality" [sic]

^^-- read how you will though.

the names of these devices are pretty cool, i'd prefer just numbers eg. 1-9 to differ

Well, this is interesting. It's showing up as £35.55 here in the UK, but when I log out of my account and view it on a different browser, it shows up as $13.20. (Obviously you can't buy it without being logged in though, which is a shame.)

So if your account is set up in dollars or Euros, you're in luck. Sterling - not so much. (Why do I get the feeling this is a hideous foretaste of the hell that awaits us once Brexit kicks in?)

Even then...£35 though? wasn’t it like €85 before? I’ve no idea...I just saw 13 and panicked :).

haha, that's the point, what I read there is "variants", so I cannot tell for sure how much V1 and V2 are the same...

LOL.

Edit: I just hope for the sake of every individual involved on the selling side, that this deal was intentional.

I actually said this morning that, seeing as I don’t know what I’m doing, this refill is the only thing that’s going to show me if I bought a pony or a pig in a poke.

haha, I don't know what I'm doing half the time either :)

there are some good patches in the presets folder too, so between the panda refill, and the presets it comes with, they're a great starting point. I think this is one of the most unique bundles in the shop.

isn't 169 also a weird price - considering it used to be 85 for the longest time.

You like them? Any favs?
I was thrown off by what I've tested: basses you have to play in C5 and above to hear anything at all, and leads that only work well in the lower registers. No combinators (which imho you have to create to get the good sound: layering, effects..)
Then again I'm just not a modular person and I've only picked it up because of the price, so I'm not really complaining. Only underwhelmed, haha.

I'm guessing some poor little intern screwed up, and then panicked and had to take evasive action to prevent further damage. It will probably return to its usual price once the dust has settled.

I have been playing them usually around C4 or higher, the lower registers are interesting too, but for me it gets more musical at higher registers.

That intern will be getting promoted as we speak. He probably got Noise Engineering more sales than they’ve had since they released that synth bundle. Marketing genius.

I guess that depends on the financial loss that was accumulated... Sale at any price isn’t necessarily a good thing, I would think.

There are some decent and some good patches in the Noise Engineering stuff, but most of the fun comes from just turning some knobs. They are inviting to experiment with and are quite unique to your typical synths out there.

While I like the picture in my head, I don't think an intern is in charge of setting the prices in the shop. And if he/she was, there's someone supervising the intern.
If I was a developer, I'd be effin' furious if my IP was handled that way.
Imagine being kHs and seeing "The Works" for 4,89€ in the shop. No wait, they wanted a sales price, so it's actually 2,99€...

Over here in Canada, Synth Bundle 1 was $69...and Bundle 2 was negative -$69.25

So I added both Bundles to cart and 25 cents was credited to my account.

How cool is that!
