Reminds me of a baby MPC Live. This is very cool, especially size-wise.

I'm thinking about it... I couldn't do 1010music 'in the Rack' - but TableTop is very appealing.

Now, I gotta watch the video...

Puts me in the mind of Future Korg Gadgets.... in Hardware!

I see there was a batch that was sold, but there are some nice firmware enhancements possible for the next batch.

Pre-ordered: This seems my MPC (Live), OP-Z, Deluge, iPad/iOS Killer - or ... enhancer?

The ease of Connectivity:
4 Audio OUTS - easily configurable to 6 mono and 2 Sums/Mains
Stereo Audio IN - (if only it had 3 stereo INS)
CLOCK!
Midi IN and OUT
USB!!!! (and.. USB powered – can run off a USB power block or wall outlet)

The ease of Manipulation:
8 hotkeys,
that display,
... touchscreen, and form factor.

Features
Four Note Polyphony!!
16 samples, 16 sequences and 16 song sections per preset

~$600. Perfect Circuit Audio has a pre-order list fyi. More by end-of-May, hopefully.

This is a Great video for visualize the EASE of the workflow:

16 Tracks - instantly mutable - KIller
Pads to Play the 16 tracks MAIN Pitch
Keys to Play each Track in Tune
Sequence ... KILLER
... Peep the ZOOM and Gestures at 1:55
MIXER - Mutes and Pans per Track

This is a much more Positive Thread about 1010music Blackbox.

Glad to hear all s going well, Selig.

When you rock, I'd love to see a Video. Have fun on your Journey! I'm Loving Mine!
The nice thing about Eurorack is you stop spending when the rack is full.
The bad thing about Eurorack is you can alway purchase another rack - or just replace modules and re-sell the old ones.

I currently have two modules to sell, and 5 empty HP (with 3 of them pretty much accounted for). I'm due for a visit to Control in the near future

But on the bright side, I'm actually regularly making music with this gear, and playing gigs as well. I even have a "live in studio" performance on Echos due for broadcast in the coming month or so, doing my "ambient" thing with a long time friend/collaborator. So far it's been a successful return to hardware IMO!

Congrats! The Sound is Awesome. The BASS outta that thing!
I pray for the update to remove total quantization.

It is very well designed, imo.

Thx. Haven’t had much time to really dig into it yet as I am building a table for synths and also rewiring my studio. Plus I think I need to update the firmware to get the granular feature they added. But for the little time spent with it I must say its awesome. Well thought out little box.

Take your time.
Today, the MC-101 gets hooked in. I hope to use them together.

one, for LIVE recording. and, that well thought out 16 by 16 system of tracks and channels and instruments ... BlackBox.

one, for Knobbage and Faderage and unQuantized ppqn-ness.

I just fired up the MC-101.

I USB'd it for power. Check!
Hit Play..... turn the volume knob up... Check!
Hit Pads... hit 'NOTE' then "PLAY" Pads.. Check!

First thoughts.... I need another.

Roland didn't even supply a USB... but, who cares?!

The fader action is KILLER for Breakdowns n Such! ...all Live recorded into Reason (haven't downloaded drivers yet)
It's beautiful to look at. The form factor is Perfect.
Not substantial like the BlackBox or Electribe 2.. Zinc? (Those are Exceptional)... But, Better than Arturia.
Typical Nice Roland, that you want to keep shiny.. (MX-1, TR-8, TB-3)

Anyways.... TWO!
One for home one for away..
One for Drums.. one for Synths ... one for Vocals...?
One to sleep with at night and make music most of my Waking Life.

That's my plan, anyway!

I think it's a home run. Im going to do a proper read of the manual and play tonight.
Ill endeavor to report mañana.
