I love how they implemented the switchable screens on this device. I wish more REs would do this.

Hi can anyone let me know if they recommend this. Looks very busy with all the faders but as far as functionality goes i like the concept. Seems very cheap so may just take a punt on it but thoughts of users appreciated.

This and the Knock can go very well together....
I Like it, it gives a lot of expression

This is excellent! Thank you Studio Corbach, love your work and the very affordable prices!
I found loading a rhythmic patch then automating the sample select to different samples gives really cool results, also automated the sample start. Thought I would have been limited here by un-automatable parameters, nope!
The swing works really well, and there's crazy on board effects I haven't touched yet.
Gees Louise you can even load and edit your own samples and this thing is only 9 dollars.
I insta-bought after reading the product page, and now have massive respect for it. Very inspiring, thanks again!! <3

It is nice that everything is remotable like in the bigger 10 channel one. If i had one wish, it would be sample start and length parameter (+loop) like in the digitakt.
Finally we got something where the sample select can be automated over a huge range of samples.

It's like having a Little Bits output, at first its like... what am I supposed to do with this????
I would add some things also:
Draw button _ draw true -
+ - buttons and back cv for the two buttons (10 trigs/push= +10 steps)
duty cycle
a loop Reset input
individual 128 output
Ok, forget last one XD

How are the included samples compared with the Knock ones?

It would be really cool if it had the ability to copy 16 or 32 steps and paste them in the next row, or something like this!
Also, isn't there some randomizer RE that can randomize a bunch of parameters on certain devices? I think that could work really well here, anyone know?

I was going to ask this too! Are they the same 1000 samples?

Thank you!
I bought the Knock one, but feel this one will be too similar if the sample library is the same. On the other hand, it will be weird not owning every Corbach RE.

Yeah...just compared around 20 side to side and it would appear to be the same samples in each. That said, I bought them both anyway

No problem. I don't think that there actually is much difference between the two to be honest other than that Step 128 has 128 steps

I insta-bought because I like his REs but in retrospect probably could have been happy enough with only Knock. Same effects, functions, samples etc.
I would also say that with Knock it's easier to get instant gratification.
I think Step 128 can be used as an arpeggiator as well but I haven't gotten into the manual yet so I can't say for sure how it works.

Now that I think about it: sneaky bastard
, at 9€ each I already paid 72€ for all of Corbach's RE without noticing. Because what the heck, 9€. While I actually discussed with myself about wether the reduced price of 99€ for the Synapse bundle was worth it..
(for the record, it's worth wayyy more than 99€)

I’m starting to wonder if I really needed Step 128 seeing as I’ve got Knock. The only consolation is that Knock is worth €18 on its own ha ha.diminished wrote: ↑12 Mar 2019Now that I think about it: sneaky bastard, at 9€ each I already paid 72€ for all of Corbach's RE without noticing. Figgoid. I passed on the 128 Rhythm machine. Felt it was a bit similar to “Knock” too. But still trialing it, so....
Hope this Stutter
thing lands before weekend.
Yeah his “stack’em high - sell’em cheap” biz model is quite cunningdiminished wrote: ↑12 Mar 2019Now that I think about it: sneaky bastard, at 9€ each I already paid 72€ for all of Corbach's RE without noticing. Actually...as I said above, the individual pitch control on each step is pretty nice. Check that out.SoulState wrote: ↑13 Mar 2019]Yeah his “stack’em high - sell’em cheap” biz model is quite cunningdiminished wrote: ↑12 Mar 2019Now that I think about it: sneaky bastard, at 9€ each I already paid 72€ for all of Corbach's RE without noticing. Nah !!! Been back and forth on this one and yeah...it’s too similar to Knock to justify having both. I’ve got both by the way. I would probably have gone for just this one by itself. Slam 10 of them together in a combi and you’ve got Knock with the added benefit of being able to have your own sample in each slot and also use them to arpeggiate. So there you go. Maybe you’ll find another way to use them that shows them off in a different light. If so then please share your findings.
