The "Classic American EQ" Bundle includes three equalizers, based on iconic American EQs of the late 1960’s. The curve shaping potential is unmatched, while unique Proportional Q design intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings. Turn to the EQs heard on top recordings for decades.

Product details
This bundle includes the three "American EQ" Rack Extensions by Red Rock Sound:

American Equalizer 5500

The 5500 faithfully captures the punch, low-frequency transparency, and ultra-tight imaging of iconic American EQs of the late 1960’s. Making use of Proportional Q intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at minimal settings and narrows it at higher settings without the need for additional bandwidth controls. This unique feature minimizes the "phase-shift" sound found in many equalizers.

American Equalizer 5506

Based on Classic American EQ from the late '60s, the 5506 is a continuation of the EQ that played a major role in the history of music recording, but with an additional filter band and several new frequencies. With a surprisingly wide range of tonal variations, the 5506 is an invaluable and professional audio tool with great flexibility and excellent sonic ability.

American Equalizer 5600

The 5600 based on the 1969 classic, the 10-Band graphic equalizer features precision filtering and high headroom, ideal for signal enhancement. The curve shaping potential is unmatched, while unique “Proportional Q” design intuitively widens the filter bandwidth at lower boost/cut levels and narrows it at higher settings.

They are very pretty! I have no knowledge of the equipment they emulate, but do anyone know how they compare?

not unlike the Softube Trident emulation
I mean an EQ is an EQ
Disclosure: I am deaf as fuck.
Luckily this has not prevented me from spewing out the musics.
Deal with it.

I have IK multimedia models. I am demoing these and call me crazy but these are pretty amazing. I have to test them more. On quick run sound is spot on and workflow is just there. Presets as starting points are also well laid out.

5500 - Pretty amazing on drum bus and individual treatment.

1. Question for developer - how come 5600 have oversampling while other two does not?

2. And how come when i engage oversampling there's no change i mean increase in total signal path latency down below in Reason footer? Like plugin is not reporting delay to Reason. Afaik zero delay oversampling is impossible in this physical existence so there is something wrong in implementation or ? I can't believe it's jsut a gimmick right there. Maybe that's room for future feature update?

I really appreciate the presets per instrument that come along with this neat package. Very nice sounding EQs, quick and easy to use

Will they be included in the Launchbox as modules? Will there be new modules for the Launchbox? It is a very nice idea for a device, it would benefit from more compressors-eqs-saturation models to do gainstaging within it

I love my Fixed Filter REs - but sometimes... moving 31 bands...

The 5600's 10 bands are proper. And, I see there are 'stereo' considerations.
The 5500 and 5506 seems a breeze to Mouse or to Midi up with a midi fighter twister.
Does the 5506 have a label bug? ....

Nice visibility - and the Price is Right!
Thanks again, Red Rock Sound!

Yes this is good. And even presets are good. I like mid side part of it you can get wide sounds in usual MS processing. These three plugins somehow just feel right but i have a feeling of rushed release. What label bug you are speaking of?

I tested them more and i like how sound is subtly different when ANALOG mode is enabled and you drive it hotter. It add layer of thick above the sound. Very subtle but effective color sometimes you jsut have to push it harder and compensate with GAIN out switch.

I am still not clear why 5600 have oversample switch which to my findings does nothing really. And other EQs from this API release misses them?

RR Sound if you need betatester which will torture your plugins before release (i found three bugs upon Launchbox Effect release which were confirmed and fixed later) drop me a PM. I also betatest for some other companies (VST plugins) and i know these processes.
